My friend Nooh who is a civil defense rescuer in north Gaza, who I have made previous posts for on here and IG, & who’s campaign I have personally vetted, was targeted yesterday, along with the whole civil defense crew and the civil defense building. The missile did not explode thank god 😭😭😭 I don’t have anything in me left to say to try to convince people to donate or to try to force people to care and help him because he is a target, it shouldn’t have come to this. I remember when I saw Encanto for the first time as well, I want to say it was the second weekend it was out at the cinema and my sister and I went to a large shopping centre for the day and then saw Encanto at the cinema there. At the time, I was struggling with the relationship between me and my mum, I was feeling that I couldn't do anything right, was failing at being an adult and annoying her and having her despair, it got to the point where I had genuinely thought about not going home for Christmas. It was very much the right thing at the right time, a film about family and how it's okay to not always do things the way that's expected of you, the idea that things will turn out okay and that the family member you always thought to be a stuck up bitch is actually kinda cool. I've since been in and out of the fandom, but it's always ultimately been there for me and I'm hoping at some point to get a tattoo of Luisa as a mermaid to join my other mermaids :)

life in North Gaza continues to be a living nightmare. this is the sixth day since iof announced their reallocation of resources up to North Gaza, including missiles, tank artillery, and troops. 16 martyrs have been reported so far just today, at least 2 of them children. dozens of Palestinians are still missing under rubble from the relentless carpet bombing.
in this rapidly escalating situation, i ask you to please help Hazem's family on your mind. Hazem's parents are chronically stressed, and overtired from evading snipers and bombs when getting food for their 5 children. all 5 kids have been severely malnourished for almost 12 months now.
the family's only hope is to start making their way down to central or southern Gaza to evade the carpet bombing in Jabalia. this means getting fuel, food, and other necessary supplies. imagine uprooting your entire life because it is the only way to save your children. donate the price of a coffee/sandwich if you see. save Hazem's family

I remember seeing Encanto for the first time when I was going through a rough patch with my OCD. Even if he wasn’t written with the disorder in mind, I think Tío Bruno is a wonderful character that can help other people understand how it feels to have OCD, or any other mental illness. Though I do think his “superstitions” were more portrayed as “kookiness” rather than an actual coping mechanism. I appreciate how tired he seems, because being on constant high-alert against something you can’t explain, losing yourself in terrifying thoughts at seemingly every turn, and fighting against yourself and your fear hour by hour is a deeply tiring life to live. I remember watching that movie and thinking about it for weeks and even months afterward. It felt very calming and reassuring to see another person going through these cycles while also trying to be part of his family.
I want a chance to live a safe life without war, for me and my children

Due to the heavy rain, our tents got flooded. We tried to prevent the water from leaking into the tent, but the tent covers are old and worn out. The tent got flooded with rain, and our personal belongings got soaked as well. Puddles formed inside the tent. We don't know what we will do in the coming days , winter has become a nightmare for those living in tents.

I could no longer face life with the same strength. Every corner of my home reminded me of them. I would look at their belongings, their pictures, and feel like my soul was torn apart. Days passed, but the grief deepened, and the loss became unbearable.💔😭🥀
One day, as I sat quietly reflecting on my life, I remembered the words of my son Mohammed, who always said to me: “Don’t give up, Dad, you’re stronger than any hardship.” In that moment, I felt as though my children did not want me to give up. I knew I needed to turn this sorrow into something meaningful, something that would honor their memory.💔💔😭
I decided to start helping others, especially children who had lost their families, just as I had lost mine. I opened my home to these children, began caring for them, and gave them the love I had lost. In helping them, I found a kind of solace, as though I was trying to fill the void left in my heart by my children.💔🥹🥀
But I need help to rebuild my life and the future of my remaining children. I want to regain hope and help these children have a better future.
