Does Anyone Else Have To Fight For Answers From/get Possessed By The Characters They Draw And/or Write,

personal I don't know why but it often feels that I am simply a vessel for these characters to enter the physical world by it’s nothing bad but it gets *difficult* when I want to write or draw a specific character and they don’t answer from whatever plane of existence they’re from is it just a me thing or— cause people always seem weirded out or confused when I talk about it trying to draw a State btw its kind of like a texture overlay? like im still me but i adopt their mannerisms/speech/movements/etc like I’m the color layer and lineart and they’re the shading
