Aemond, on the other hand, while very competent, doesn't care for anyone's opinion. He makes his own decisions and expects them to just sit and nod their head. Aegon turned to Alicent and wanted her opinion and support, Aemond cuts her off in the middle of the sentence and dismisses her completely. He is openly disrespectful towards all members of the council and unwilling to even consider a plan that is not his own.
