I'm sorry, but I still find it hilarious that Aegon, who was pulled out of trash yesterday, whom no one had ever taught to rule, and Rhaenyra, who is 16 years older than him, was a cupbearer at the Small Council's meetings and sort of ran the Dragonstone, show themselves generally on the same level as rulers (to me Aegon demonstrates even better skills and greater involvement in the whole process). It's just...funny.

Otto even said “good” after her speech and she seemed relaxed and chilling even smiling. What kind of girl would have this expression talking about rape???

There's literally NO mention of sex, sexual acts or sexual behaviour (inappropriate or not) in this statement, and I honestly doubt that Helaena would just trauma dump about her rape in the middle of family dinner. FFS, she was literally SMILING during that toast.

People in this fandom are so dead set on seeing Aegon as NOTHING but a sex pest who will rape and abuse everything that moves (thanks Condal & Hess!) that they throw their media literacy down the toilet.

Yes, exactly. In general, I'm amused by the high opinion that TB fans have of Aegon's stamina. According to them, all he does 24/7 is rape. He rapes maids, whores, wife, any woman who catches his eye. It's hilarious, to be honest.

Hate to break it out but basically all the “competent” side of Aemond was ripped off from other characters. Rook’s rest? Cole’s plot. Seeking help from Essos? Otto’s idea. He’s just the writers favorite and everyone knows that.

The thing is that, yes, Aegon is not as competent as Aemond but he knew that. He was willing and eager to hear his council out, all he wanted in return was for them to hear him out as well. Sure, he's as impulsive as Aemond but he genuinely wanted to listen to what they have to say so he could make good decisions. Aemond, on the other hand, while very competent, doesn't care for anyone's opinion. He makes his own decisions and expects them to just sit and nod their head. Aegon turned to Alicent and wanted her opinion and support, Aemond cuts her off in the middle of the sentence and dismisses her completely. He is openly disrespectful towards all members of the council and unwilling to even consider a plan that is not his own.

Aegon knew and tried to make up for his shortcomings. Aemond is unaware of his.

Like Helaena said “Aegon will be King again and you will be dead” they think that means she didn’t care Aegon’s life but care about Aemond’s 🤪

Oh Aemond wanted the throne so bad to committ fratricide, one of the worst crimes in Westeros. He was also a coward and did not have the balls to admit it. But Helaena knows them all exactly. She pointed out to tell Aemond that YOU NEVER GONNA GET WHAT YOU WANT AND YOU WILL BE DEAD AND NEVER BE SEEN AGAIN BUT AEGON SAW THE VICTORY. You could argue she said these not out of love for Aegon. But saying it shows she cared Aemond’s life in a romantic way??? So amusing 🤣🤣🤣

And stop saying how gentle he was to Helaena. HE TRIED TO PUSH HER INTO FUCKING WAR WHICH SHE CLEARLY SAID SHE HATE. He pulled her violently and hurt her. He’s the one abusive to Helaena. Not Aegon.

Helaena said she was happier before being queen. In episode one, Aegon did not lay a hand on her or said anything hurtful to her even they have arguments. So how could she’s happier if Aegon used to abuse her or even rape her when she’s not yet queen? (Yes I know they gonna put out the 1x08 line again and again because that’s the only argument they got. And no, I don’t think “most time he ignores you except when he’s drunk” can somehow lead to martial rape. It’s clearly an open-to-interpretation statement)

BUT in 2x08 Aemond dragged Helaena in a violent way to FORCE her into dragon battles which is highly dangerous just because he felt insulted and powerless. Aegon definitely was not a role model husband but Aemond was clearly a monstrous sibling. Some have the nerve to say he was gentle and try to comfort Helaena? Are you joking? Stop ignore facts and invent things.

And, stop saying Aemond is poor and vulnerable for holding tears. He literally just burned HUNDREDS OF LIVES, women and children in villages at Sharpoint. He deserved these words said by Helaena and to know his final pathetic ending.
