I don't know why my brain feels the urge to rewatch this movie during this particular time of the year. Here, we don't have any marked autumnal changes except for that it gets a bit chilly. It does however mark the beginning of festive season.

Anyway, I rewatched this movie and I realised it's shortcomings which 14 year old me would deny because she simply didn't see them. I do.

Yet, I see this movie calling my name around the time when the present melts into the future to become it.

thinking about how dong sik doesn’t eat when he’s struggling by himself … thinking about how ji hwa calls dong sik on the night of sang yeob’s death anniversary, telling chief nam that he’ll starve himself if we don’t get him … thinking about how dong sik apparently hadn’t really been eating when he was in the holding cell … thinking about how dong sik starves a little bit when he’s grieving and alone, but as soon as it comes down to the matter of han joo won, dong sik insists on taking him out to eat, always. something about how i hate myself but i love you. 

perused through my dvd boxset again and found some photos i’ve never seen before

this one particularly got me, they’re rehearsing for the gun scene and are using their pointer fingers as guns, it’s quite striking with han kihwan blurry in the background

and i love the expression on shin ha kyun’s face here, softer than in the show if i’m remembering correctly ☺️
