Eddie raised his brows with a soft smile, “I had a sweet sixteen.” He provided. “My parents threw it in the backyard, I didn’t want a hall or anything.” Buck’s lips twitched into a tiny smile. “We stayed up really late. Shannon stayed the night… it was a good day.”
“Wouldn’t do anything different?”
“No,” Eddie said with a shake of his head. “Well… maybe.”
“Maybe?”
“If I knew you.”
“If you knew me?”
“Invited you.” Eddie explained. “Kissed you against my dad’s old truck.”
Buck’s smile widened, the tip of his tongue sticking out to run against the flesh of his bottom lip. “I was an asshole back then.”
“Bullshit,” Eddie scoffed, “You’ve never been an asshole.”
“You say that now…”
“Don’t talk shit about my fiance.” Eddie scolded, tugging himself closer, wrapping his arm more firmly around Buck’s waist. “I’m kind of really into him.”
“Fiance,” Buck echoed softly, like he still couldn’t believe the turn of events. “My old friend Natalia’s mom got me a cake for my sixteenth.”
Eddie tried not to feel his heart ping in sadness at the thought. At least Buck had had someone. At least he hadn’t been completely alone. At least…. “Yeah?”
“Mhm,” Buck hummed. “Technically, it was, like, a month later when it was Natalia’s birthday, but it was sweet. She was so upset when she heard no one really did anything.”
“Maddie didn’t visit?”
“I visited her,” Buck explained. “Her and Doug… they took me to Six Flags. Doug threw up on the Superman ride.” He shrugged. “It was fun.”
“Watching someone get sick?”
“He didn’t stick around.” Buck said with a laugh. “He… Maddie and I just got to hang out until the park closed. Doug wasn’t even mad. He just got us dinner at Five Guys on the way back to their apartment.”
“When was the last time you had a party?”
“Like…” Buck wrinkled his brow. “Planned a party? Because we planned Christopher’s birthday…”
“No,” Eddie shook his head. “Had a party. Attended a party for yourself.”
“Like… I don’t know.” He knew. Eddie knew he knew, just like he knew that he wasn’t going to like the answer a whole lot. “It doesn’t matter.”
“It sort of does.”
“Why?” Buck laughed softly. “It’s not like you’re going to be able to go back and change that.” He teased, lightly brushing the edges of Eddie’s hair behind his ear and leaving his hand there, on the junction of his shoulder. “It’s not like it matters.”
Eddie sighed, “Evan…”
“Don’t throw me a party.” He scolded. “I don’t like parties.”
“You love parties.”
“No,” Buck corrected. “I love throwing parties. I don’t like…” He waved his hand. “The whole… thing.”
“Thing.” Eddie snorted. “You love being the center of attention.” But he didn’t, really. Buck liked a lot of things, he liked being known by certain people, but, for such a big guy, he much preferred to slip by unnoticed in the background like a cryptid.
“What was your wedding like with Shannon?” Buck asked suddenly, his thumb tracing the skin between Eddie’s ear and nose.
“Shotgun.” Eddie turned his head to kiss the middle of his hand. “Shannon wore white, I wore my suit from my senior prom… we did it at the same church I got baptized in.”
“Bobby and Athena just got married at the courthouse.”
“Good thing we’re not either of them, huh?”
“Don’t want another church wedding?” Buck asked with a dry twist of his lips. Eddie shook his head with a small laugh, closing the space between them to nip lightly at the stubble on his jaw. He felt Buck swallow against his throat, his hand reaching behind Eddie’s head to hold loosely onto his hair. “No courthouse?” “What kind of wedding do you want?” Eddie asked softly, dragging his teeth over the skin of his ear. “You’ve been planning this longer than I have.” Evidently, since Buck had bought a ring and held onto it for months.

you don't know how much I N.E.E.D. to watch 9-1-1 from Hen's POV to understand why she said this!!! like, I know she means it about Buck kissing men BUT why did she even THINK Buck was supposed to be kissing men?! like what did she see?! was it about Buck & Eddie?! and if it was WHAT DID SHE SEE?!?!
I also have another thing to say cus I'm so tired at this point but again are we watching the same clip? Cus toxic buddies are saying how Eddie is jealous in this scene and once again I'm like: ??? Where?
And listen, maybe it's bcus I'm aroace but I don't see any jealousy. Like when Eddie says: "I didn't know that you can bring a date to the bachelor party" he's not only clearly joking but also he's smiling.
Then when he hands Tommy his drink he still doesn't seem jealous to me.
Like guys where you get the jealous vibes from? Like I genuinely don't see it. All I see is a friend being supportive of his two friends dating.
Rafah is currently under bombardment, so I will spreading as much links as I can possibly can. If I miss any, please add on if you can
