Something People Don't Point Out About Aphobia Often Is That Most Of The World Doesn't Use The Words
Something people don't point out about aphobia often is that most of the world doesn't use the words 'asexual' and 'aromantic'. Like, no one's conservative family is talking about how much they hate those damn asexuals but a lot of people treat romance and sex as things humans inherently want and if you don't then you're broken and need fixing. Regardless, I'm sure someone can phrase this a lot better than I can but basically just because people don't say aspec doesn't mean they don't mean it.

Queer people are expected to leap out of the closet fully realized.
But closets are full of clothes.
It’s okay to try on outfits, mix and match, revisit old outfits and add new ones. Whatever feels right to you at the time is who you are at the time.
So it’s okay if the outfit you chose first is the one, and it’s also okay if you try out many or change it as time goes by.
There’s no wrong way to be queer and there’s no rule saying you can’t explore your queerness.
Don’t listen to anybody who tries to dictate otherwise to you.
Explore, discover, and embrace YOU.

Random costuming detail but they must have specifically picked this shirt for Ed because of the lace detail on the cuff. Ed's got tattoos on the back of his hand which would have flagged him, if not as a pirate, at least not a fancy rich guy.
The lace lays fairly flat against the back of his hand and stays relatively in place even when his hands are up.
The shirt Stede wears to the party has a ruffle at the cuff but not enough that it covers the back of his hands. Or like Stede's shirt that Ed wears in ep 4 covers his hands when his arms are down but is flowy so it falls away from his hands when he moves.
Just imagining Stede going through all his shirts trying to find the one that will best hide Ed's tattoos.
I stim in public.
I flap my hands really hard, and verbally stim, and tip toe walk, and swing my arms, and roll my knuckles together, and more.
I have big stims, and I do those big stims wherever it feels right.
You deserve to stim anywhere and everywhere.
I know this is technically a positivity blog but today I am full of hate. reblog to bite an exclusionist.
