Today I was once again reminded of what it means to be an ARMY. I once read that I Need U was about finding happiness within sadness and Run was about finding sadness within happiness. Witnessing Namjoon cry today - very differently than his crying during concerts - reminded me of the latter statement. I hope the next time we meet our 7 Bangtannies again, they will have found happiness within happiness. 💜

Hi. Uhm. I might have a rude question - not rude, I suppose, maybe invasive. Are you planning to continue Good Riddance? Not to pressure you or anything, I'm sorry if this is a redundant question, I'm only at part 2, but it really struck a nerve with me. I feel comforted by it, and weirdly seen, and I would just love to know if you plan on making it a finished piece.

Hey Katie! Not rude at all but thanks for prefacing, I know different authors here feel very different about these types of questions. I don’t really mind them and actually see them as a compliment because this means that my writing managed to evoke strong enough emotions in a reader to comment. But then again I’m also masochistic enough to enjoy constructive feedback - as long as it’s polite and well-intentioned - since I just write stuff that I’d personally like to read, so I don’t really feel much pressure from the outside because bottom line my story will always make at least one person happy. ☺️
So to answer your actual question, yes I do plan on finishing Good Riddance, but I’ll have to rewrite it in some parts. The foundation and character arcs remain the same, I actually had everything outlined since the beginning, but I made the grave mistake of stopping in between and now it’s kinda difficult to get back into the flow of the story. And I tried to get back into it several times, but while rereading my previous chapters I found some things lacking, especially in terms of pacing and depth which I want to improve. So at some point I reached the conclusion I need to start over to make it to the end 😂

Adding my 2 cents - Maybe it’s a progression of MOTS and exploring BTS members as individuals and as part of a group. Hobi mentioned several times in recent interviews that his goal was to discover and establish himself as an individual; and we all know self-discovery has been Namjoon’s endless quest in life. I mean - BTS literally avoided it like a plague to be compared to each other, they have nothing but respect and support for each other and always emphasize that they are a package deal.
Why do I feel like they are steadily prepping us to see them as mature, grown-up individuals, who have identity with or without the construct of BTS.
