When capitalism dies can we turn these already-failing shopping malls into community homes? The stores are already bigger than a lot of apartments and even some houses. There’s already a communal eating space with the food courts. Some of the stores could be kept as-is as a way to distribute necessary supplies. Lots of flat spaces on roofs and parking garages could be converted into gardens, and the spaces that can’t be used for gardening could be lined with solar panels and/or wind turbines. Most malls also make at least some attempt for accessibility with escalators and elevators. I feel like it would take very little renovation to turn those empty husks of capitalism’s former “glory” into a relatively sustainable community that provides plenty of accessible housing and space for people to live in.

Just a theory

This only applies if your LGBTQ+. Whichever parent you didn't get enough love from you now embody. So if you didn't get enough love from your mum you are now the mum of your friendship group. Or if you didn't get enough love from your dad you now make shit dad jokes and are kind of a daddy. If you got love from both you are still a child at heart. If you got love from neither you are either a kinky shit or very fucking smart and sarcastic. Peace🏳️‍🌈✌️
