WELCOME BACK TO MY SILLY LITTLE RAMBLINGS ABOUT DRAGON JIGEN
These are facts/quirks about him that I've compiled into a list.
Please enjoy! And ask any questions you have about him, I love to talk about this silly au.
Snores so loud the house shakes.
Sleeps in the basement! / anyplace that's cold and dark
Loves sunbathing, literally one of his favorite pastimes (IMPORTANT! Cuz he's a lizard!)
Literally you can find him sleeping anywhere there is sun. Like a cat.
but also BATHS!
Also like a cat he only lets certain people sunbathe with him. He trusted Goemon to meditate while he sunbathed almost immediately. Lupin wasn't trusted until a lot later.

Old. Like really old.
In the winter: BLANKETS, BLANKETS AND MORE BLANKETS!
Always ALWAYS the first to get sick (he doesn't have allergies tho!)
He has a couple of smaller dragon forms he can use to get around better. He just *poofs* into them in a cloud of smoke. Think of a komodo dragon with a hat and beard. That's one of the forms. And another is an even smaller, wiggly looong, snake body with legs (transportable!)
In that form Jigen wraps around Lupin's neck like a scarf!
Lupin will wake up on cold winter mornings with Jigen in his bed soaking up his body heat
COLD TOES!
Will curl around the fresh pile of laundry on the laundry chair and sleep
BIG OL’ CHOMPERS! Perfect for tearing through meat! (Almost exclusively a carnivore)
When in his large dragon form, his hat's too small to wear! Lupin ties it over his horn with some string
Also! That big ol' plume of hair on his big dragon form sways / flaps magically in the air even without wind (think Celestia's mane from MLP)
No art this time! Sorry! I'm still traditional until further notice.
On another note, I'm debating what color I should make his fire, that's why that info didn't make the list. I can't decide between green and purple. Green like maleficent or purple like ... Well purple maleficent.
Idk. I'll decide some other time.

Now that my drawing tablet has died, I might as well drop these miscellaneous Dragon Jigens since I won't be drawing any new digital art anytime soon.
Just some silly doodles to begin with. He's just showin' off his claws and being a cold lizard in the winter. Lupin gave him the blanket. It's not helping. (I need to draw winter Jigen as he's winding down for hibernation. brumation? either way poor guy needs his beauty sleep)
This is an older piece actually. Not much changed from the design really. I like this design better than the previous headshots tho- especially the tusks- because it "reads" looong dragon design for me. (i'm not giving up on that alligator/crocodile head tho!) I think I finally got the beard how I wanted too! It's supposed to be imitate how sleek instead of scraggly Koikie Jigen's beard is.
(oops! forgot the claws on this one) This one's older than the one before. First human-ish form with wings. The purple on the arms is supposed to be scales. I like how I transitioned the hair from brown to purple down his back. Unfortunately its too brown and I drew it all on one layer- oops. (yes thats arm hair. Like in the fullbody dragon form two posts ago)
In this one I tired to make his skin match his dragon form. I like that it makes him look more like a dragon turned human instead of the other way around, if that makes sense. Also, Jigen vest supremacy.

Featuring Lupin this time! I gave Jigen a more alligator/crocodile look this time to see how I liked it on his looong boi™️ body. I think the head's too big, but I'm still experimenting... I love the scales tho!

Yeah they all supposed to be different Goemons. Guess in the comments but they better be obvious (or i need to use official art as reference more) Hint: that middle one is Goemon's Bloodspray Goemon. That's it. Cuz I didn't even remember that half the time, that sketch is ROUGH 💀

My thoughts on my various Dragon! Jigen, Dragon form designs
Alright here's the first attempt. Wiggly boi. I like the length. I don't like the wings bc they're too long. Maybe a better pose would look cooler.
I liked the neck, it reminds me of how articulated medieval armor looks when it bends. Didn't like the nose horn. All of the beard, except for the chin part, is a whah whah. Gross. Colors are dull. Too dark.
Beard is better...-ish. I don't like how the face spines on the sides replaced the beard. Finally figured out the horn situation, I like them on this design. The eyes - so lizard, so good.
Brought the long boi back! beard is bad again, it's too scraggly. I don't like the horns as eyebrows. many teeth is good.
Hat makes an appearance! I wish it was smaller. I basically like everything about this except for the eyebrow-horns and the hat. Lizard-ish eyes are good, teeth = good, beard = good.

I...tried to make a meme and got carried away and made A Thing that is like partially unfinished because i spent like 3 hours on it and then got tired.
I think this is mostly scientifically accurate but truth be told, there seems to be relatively little research on succession in regards to lawns specifically (as opposed to like, pastures). I am not exaggerating how bad they are for biodiversity though—recent research has referred to them as "ecological deserts."
