sukuita occult au where sukuna is worshipped by a cult yuji was raised in. although yuji wants nothing to do with the cult and tries to run away multiple times, he can't escape the strange bond he shares with the very god he refuses to be supplicant to.

the gods speak a language no living thing can comprehend, but somehow yuji is able to understand sukuna and even see him. though he tries to ignore the obsessive interest his god is paying to him, yuji can't ever hide from sukuna, the god constantly mocking him for being too weak to escape the cult or demanding yuji worship him, even coming into yuji's dreams.

when the cultists discover his connection with their god, though, they force yuji into being the intermediary vessel between themselves and sukuna. when sukuna refuses to grant their favors, they keep yuji captured, knowing that he can channel sukuna's power through himself, forcing yuji to serve them however they demand.

sukuna is extremely enraged about this - though he claims it's only because the cultists are defying him and using his powers, he also feels extremely protective and possessive about his brat.... though he denies it, seeing anyone but his own self dress yuji in chains or force him into submission fills him with overwhelming anger.

sukuna keeps making offers to take over yuji's body and slaughter his captors in return for being able to enter the mortal world to rule over it, but yuji refuses. when one day the treatment becomes too much for yuji to handle, and he is both mentally and physically destroyed from being drained by the cultists, he agrees -

sukuna takes over his body, and enthusiastically murders all the cultists. he dresses yuji in their blood and the fine clothes and riches the cultists used yuji's powers to obtain, and prepares to ruin the rest of the world. yuji, however, is close to death. though sukuna can choose to abandon him, he knows that no other vessel will suit him, no other soul on earth has been marked the same way as yuji has been for him, and he will never want for any other vessel despite how irreverent and disrespectful his brat is.

when he offers to revive yuji's soul alongside his own, he gives him an ultimatum: rule the world alongside sukuna, or have his soul absorbed into sukuna and leave only his body behind for the god to possess.

sukuna knows which choice he wants him to make, but whether or not the brat will make it is entirely up to yuji.

grimmichi is like. what if you were a monster who was only born because you clawed your way to the top of a thousand other souls and you had to fight for every moment of your existence in a world where you have no choice but to eat your fellows alive and the right to survive is forged from violence and the only way to have any power is to destroy everyone else so you become it you embody it you relish in destruction and then a stranger appears who calls himself a god and he promises you strength if you join him but after you become his slave he stamps you with the number six and sits you beside the rest of his toy soldiers and you can only watch as he plays king in your land and when you finally try to reclaim some autonomy your followers get slaughtered and you're replaced without a second thought and there's nothing you can do except become more bitter and more violent but then a weird weak stranger you damn near killed without even trying gets stronger gets as strong as you and gets stronger still except instead of using his power to oppress and destroy he uses it to liberate and protect and he spares you even though he hates you and he defends you even though you hurt him and he challenges everything you thought you knew about the world. like what do you even do. apart from fuck him of course

This is not terrible at all if both husband and wife are happy with their family. I don’t get my generation's people looking down on our peers who become parents, or have more than two children. Like, their measurement of happiness will obviously not match with yours. But why must we look down on them or feel contempt for them like this? So tired of this honestly. Having children doesn’t immediately make one's life soulless and joyless. For all you know someone's reason for living and happiness could be their children. Acting like you're better than them and having a holier-than-thou attitude just because of your personal choice only makes you appear childish, I'm sorry.

Thinking about Toji again

I haven't read 268 yet but seen some panels already. Cut for potebtial spoiler.

Megumi looked alright seeing Gojo's note said he killed his father. Which says Megumi never asked about Toji since he knew Gojo. Gojo did say "ask me whenever you want to know", so Megumi never bothered to know.

Megumi probably only thought about the man who wrote the note and not any one bit of the man who chased him across Shibuya and killed himself so contently at the end.

Toji gave up when Megumom died. He probably had a mix of "don't care about anything any more so let me get rid of the kid that reminds me nothing of the woman I love" and "no way I can be a good father, maybe try someone else" when he gave Megumi to first Naobito, then Gojo. (I think Toji did his best, honestly.)

And Toji was very successful. Megumi didn't know about his father and didn't grow up in Zenin. He didn't have to be in a shithole his father once was. He isn't burdened by the history of Zenin. He has friends and family. He has a much happier life than his father. He is cared for and has people care about him.

Toji is forgotten by the world the way he (probably) wanted. Maybe Shiu would remember him for a little. Maybe Gojo would remember him a little. Naobito may get reminded about him from time to time watching Maki. That's about it. The one Toji cared was long gone.

To Toji, maybe he feels the best for Megumi don't remember him at all.

So yea, this brutal man is a poor baby in my eyes. Here is my daily heartache for Toji.
