this is made better by the fact that jorge revealed that technology is or electric instruments is how he represents magic musically (which makes perfect sense this is so brilliant) like hello this BANGER of a riff has so much thought put into it it makes it sound so much better

i could gush about Epic: The Musical for hours. I think that throughout the musical, Jorge makes an incredible use of instrumentation amazing melodies and musicality, That being said, one of my favorite moments has to be the intro to Thunder Bringer. The electric guitar for Zeus???? The percussion combined with the thunder??? The men chanting in the background??? absolute perfection. It scratches a special itch in my brain. Luke Holt’s voice also contrasts perfectly the electric guitar and heavy drums.

like to me that’s the more romantic of the lines; the fact that kaz immediately checks himself and is like nah she’s not mine but i will liquidate all my assets to ensure she’s free.
