God Is A God Of The Impossible! Just When It Seems There Is No Possible Solution Or Answer And Your Ship

God Is A God Of The Impossible! Just When It Seems There Is No Possible Solution Or Answer And Your Ship

God is a God of the impossible! Just when it seems there is no possible solution or answer and your ship is about to sink, His mighty hand reaches out to save us. He always is our Rescuer and very present Helper in times of trouble so when we are in need, we can depend on Him to help us. But there are two vital things that we must do in order to receive his grace, and that is to Walk in FAITH and to Act in Obedience.

Before that which is 'impossible' can be moved out of the way ask yourself this — “Have you first done what God told you to do, or are you sitting back, procrastinating, or not being obedient to what He said?” Because it is only when we are in AGREEMENT with God and ACTING on what he has called us to do, that He can make that impossibility possible.

Consider this — What if Moses had not obeyed God and didn’t boldly declare before Pharaoh to “Let My People GO!!” What if at the Red Sea he did not obey to stretch out his staff when God told him to part the waters because he doubted that God would not act? But no — Moses didn’t doubt, obeyed, raised his staff in faith and watched God do the impossible, because he operated in FAITH and OBEDIENCE.

My friend, when the 'impossible' seems truly impossible, step out in faith and walk in obedience to what God is calling you to do and then the Impossible will become Possible according to you in partnership with God.

Perhaps One Of The Biggest Misnomers About How One Gets To Heaven Is That It Is Like A Frequent Flyer

Perhaps one of the biggest misnomers about how one gets to heaven is that it is like a frequent flyer loyalty program. That is, each time you do a good deed you get another punch on your ticket to heaven. Then when your ticket is fully punched, your flight there is free and guaranteed!

But that is NOT what the Bible says.

As the leading verse in this message says — and many, many others like it say — salvation comes from faith and profession in Christ alone and His atonement for our sins. While living a good life, being a good person, and helping others and being a contributor to the world are all good and worthwhile, all the punches in the ticket of good works is worthless when it comes to standing before God.

Friend, it is in Christ alone as your deliverer from sin and death that is the key to eternal life in heaven. You cannot do it through your own efforts, morality, or works. Put your complete faith and trust in Him and He can and will transport you from this world to the next.

…and no ticket is required!

The Famous Pastor And Writer, Norman Vincent Peale The Author Of The Power Of Positive Thinking Said:

The famous Pastor and writer, Norman Vincent Peale the author of The Power of Positive Thinking said:

“The way to happiness is to keep your heart from hate, your mind from worry. Live simply, expect little, give much. Scatter sunshine, forget yourself, think of others. Try this for a week and you will be surprised.” Such sound advice! Much of our happiness in life depends on the quality of our thoughts. Have you noticed that happy people are more creative, that they solve problems faster and tend to be more mentally alert?

Happy people tend to lead rich, fulfilled lives, have good relationships, better health habits, stronger immune systems and live longer than pessimists. Let’s face I; happy people are contagious. They have a kind of magnetic aura that causes us to gravitate toward them making us wonder, “How can I catch what they have?”

We also gravitate much the same way to God’s word, because the more we read it, the more it keeps our minds refreshed and renewed with thoughts centered on the good and enriching things of life. The more we absorb it, the more our negative thoughts begin to diminish and fade away, because God’s positive, uplifting thoughts replace them. Jesus said, “These things I have spoken to you that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.”

My friend, discover the exuberant Joy you will find in Jesus and try Pastor Peale’s recipe for happiness this week and Watch what happens!

Here are some really solid practices from Billy Graham for living a successful Christian Life!

1.Read your Bible daily. Do not be content to skim through a chapter merely to satisfy your conscience. Hide the Word of God in your heart. It comforts, guides, corrects, encourages – all we need is there.

Learn the secret of prayer. Prayer is communicating. Every prayer that you pray will be answered. Sometimes that answer may be “Yes” and sometimes “No,” and sometimes it is “Wait,” but nevertheless it will be answered.

Rely constantly on the Holy Spirit. We know that the Holy Spirit prays for us (Romans 8), and what a comfort that should be to the weakest of us. Stand aside and let Him take over all the choices and decisions of your life.

Attend church regularly. The visible church is Christ’s organization upon earth. Christians need one another, we need to gather together to worship God.

Be a witnessing Christian. We witness in two ways: by life and by word – and the two, where possible, should go hand in hand.

Let love be the ruling principle of your life. Jesus said to those who followed Him, “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another” (John 13:35).The greatest demonstration of the fact that we are Christians is that we love one another.

Be an obedient Christian. Let Christ have first place in all the choices of your life.

Learn how to meet temptation. Temptation is not sin. It is yielding that is sin. Let Christ through the Holy Spirit do the fighting for you.

Be a wholesome Christian. Our lives and appearance should commend the Gospel and make it attractive to others.

Live above your circumstances. Don’t let your circumstances get you down. Learn to live graciously within them, realizing the Lord Himself is with you.

In Addition To Ministry Im Also A Professional Trumpet Player. Over The Years I Have Played And Contracted

In addition to ministry I’m also a professional trumpet player. Over the years I have played and contracted with many musicians, and one thing equal if not greater than someone’s ability to play is that when they say that they will be at a gig on a specific date and time. When they do so we can Trust Them because we can TAKE THEM AT THEIR WORD.

However when it comes to Taking God At HIS Word from the Bible, most people scoff, saying:

'Isn’t the bible just a collection of ancient stories, fables and myths? Who is gullible enough to believe that old book in this modern intelligent age?

If that’s what you ’ve been told or believe, consider this…

Not only was the Bible the first book ever printed, but it is the most printed, studied, and authenticated book in the world. More than that, the Bible has documented detailed geographical, historical and scientific facts that confirm that its authorship could not come from men alone. For example, the dimensions of Noah’s ark are the same exact ratio of ideal ship design used today! (Look it up!!) If the Bible were not true, how would some ancient untrained ancient man (who had never seen rain or a boat on water!) know this unless it was Divinely Revealed?!?

So if you can trust another person at THEIR word, isn’t it reasonable to TAKE GOD AT HIS WORD? When you do, He will always reliably show up to your 'gig' at the right day and time.

I once went white water rafting on the New River Gorge river in West Virginia at the height of the season. Rapids were category 4 with a couple of 5’s (6 is considered unpassable) and while overall it was exciting and even dangerous, one memory in particular stands out.

As our guide was training and prepping us before starting down river, he said there definitely would be times when it would be so rough that it was not uncommon for a crew member to be ejected out of the raft. Sure enough this happened two or three times, and team members instinctively snatched their fellow sojourner, saving them in the nick of time. But it was his last comment that was particularly sobering.

“When in the torrent of vicious water with steep drops and sharp rocks, injury is certain and death a possibility, so if you fall out of the raft, and we cannot retrieve you, YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN.”

God likewise is warning us that if we get tossed into the tumultuous, unrestrained deep river of sin that the result will be that “…such things are worthy of death.” (verse 32) As today’s three verses caution us, God will not be there to save you and 'YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN.'

Friend, never put your life in a place where you move yourself so far away from God that even He gives up on you. It’s not because He wants to, but because “(you) have pleasure in doing them (these things).” (verse 32)
