Most People Have A Mistaken Idea Of What It Takes To Get Into Heaven. Their Formula Is Simple: Do A Bunch

Most People Have A Mistaken Idea Of What It Takes To Get Into Heaven. Their Formula Is Simple: Do A Bunch

Most people have a mistaken idea of what it takes to get into heaven. Their formula is simple: Do a bunch a good works, be kind to people, and live a moral life as best as you can and you will go to heaven.

...but that ’s not what the Bible teaches.

As today’s verse — and many others like it says — it is not by our good deeds or right-living that we do in this life that saves us, but God’s mercy on our lives. But then the question is 'How do you receive God’s mercy?' and that answer is simple.

It’s not just saying the so-called 'sinners prayer,' going forward at a church service, or getting baptized. It is a commitment to turning away from living a life that accepts a sin here-and-there as 'ok' and living life as you see fit. Instead it is placing God truly first as the head and LORD of your life, living based on and by God’s Word and not by what a church teaches or popular opinion about the bible or god.

What is at stake here is YOUR ETERNAL DESTINY. I would not be your friend if I did not tell you the alternatives are HEAVEN -or- HELL. Don’t buy into the popular lie that Hell is where the party is. The exact opposite is true.

2 Parts Good Works over MORAL LIVING does NOT equal “ETERNAL LIFE.” God is offering His MERCY to all those that desire it. You cannot earn it.

Will you seek it?

Partnerships Are Powerful! We See Them All The Time In The Business World Where Major Companies Partner

Partnerships are powerful! We see them all the time in the business world where major companies partner with other companies to accomplish things they could not have done on their own. For example, Boeing makes jets, but they partner with companies that make jet engines so with both working together, planes are able to fly.

Who you choose to partner with will determine how successful you will be. This is especially true in choosing a marriage partner, where the wrong choice can be a tragic disaster while the right person can be the biggest blessing. The same thing can be said for any endeavor we undertake in life.

Imagine you were setting out on an important project and had the chance to partner with any one of the most powerful or richest people in the world! What would that mean to how successful your project would be?

Well if you are a believer, follower, and disciple of Christ, you already have the very best partner you could possibly have!

The Bible says “With God, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE” and that is because God wants you to succeed and prosper in all you set out to do…but here’s the catch…

Friend, God wants to partner with you, but in order to be successful in this partnership, let Him lead! While we are co-laborers with God, your success is GUARANTEED when you fly with God as your SENIOR PARTNER!

In The Classic Movie'The Wizard Of Oz,'Dorothy, Trembling As She Approaches The Wizard Says, I Am Dorothy,

In the classic movie 'The Wizard of Oz,' Dorothy, trembling as she approaches the wizard says, “I am Dorothy, the small and meek,” and like Wally Cox and other feeble characters since then, meekness has always been equated with weakness — but that is not what Jesus means and in fact it means the exact opposite.

The Greek definition is 'gentle,' but a deeper understanding is that of having Patient Restraint. Notice that Jesus not so coincidentally associates meekness here with the YOKE, which implies the harnessing of a powerful animal.

A race horse, while domesticated and carefully trained patiently restrains strength until the racing gate flies open and they explode in power.

True meekness is actually POWER UNDER CONTROL.

Jesus later promises in the Beatitudes that “The MEEK shall inherit the earth,” and he is speaking of the time when those that have patiently endured the trials of the tribulation shall live with Christ in the Millinium. These are those who have faithfully persevered, waiting to finally find and enjoy the 'Rest In Their Souls' that Jesus promises to the faithful.

Friend, we are called not to be weak in this life, but like a champion race horse, to patiently apply the power that we have as the Lord’s co-workers by “taking His yoke upon us.”

Endure the trials and race of this life in MEEKNESS, not weekness!

At One Time Or Another Weve All Just Missed The Last Bus, Plane, Or Train Because We Were Distracted

At one time or another we’ve all just missed the last bus, plane, or train because we were distracted or simply waited too long deciding when to leave. Regardless, we knew the right thing to do was to make a thoughtful decision to plan our departure so as not to miss our appointed time.

Departing from this life is just like that too.

We will all die a physical death, but for those that did not accept the call to get on board the way to heaven because they ignored 'LAST CALL!' or procrastinated, there is no 'later train' or “Second Chance.” As the Bible exhorts us:

Behold, NOW is the accepted time; Behold, NOW is the day of salvation. 2 Corinthinans 6:2

Friend, the train to eternity will leave at an appointed time. You know the right thing to do.

Please make sure you do not miss this MARK.

Weve All Had Situations That Knock Us Down When Nothing Was Going Right, We Didnt Know How To Get Back

We’ve all had situations that knock us down when nothing was going right, we didn’t know how to get back up on our feet and start wallowing in self-pity. The good news is that while we may be down, it doesn’t mean we’re 'out!'

You see, despite our trials God is bigger than our circumstances and is always there to help in times of trouble. No matter what you are going through right now, take comfort in knowing that your Heavenly Father is always watching over you:

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Psalm 46:1

While life at times drags us down it can be hard to keep our spirits up, but despite our circumstances God’s promise and our assurance is that He is indeed always with us.

Remember, friend, Everything is Temporary and there *will* be Good Days AHEAD.

Will you look to and depend on Him today?

My Father Was A Very Good Man And I Loved Him Dearly. He Was Devoted To Our Family, Always Showed Love

My father was a very good man and I loved him dearly. He was devoted to our family, always showed love to us children, was generous, and did special things that were thoughtful and kind, but there was one thing my Dad would occasionally do that always disappointed me.

My father had a Flying A gas station next door to where we lived in San Francisco, and at times an urgent problem would come up on his day off that he had to attend to. Although he had PROMISED to take us to Golden Gate Park that day, the interruption always took precedence, and when it did,I never forgot the disappointment of those missed park outings.

We all have had promises made to us that were broken, but one thing is sure — The PROMISES of God has made are NEVER left unfulfilled, and you can always count on Him keeping His word.

2 Corinthians 1:20 says “All the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen,” so while even people that dearly love us can let us down, God will NEVER let us down.

Count on every promise He has made in His word, and you will never be disapointed.
