this is all based on what I've observed of Tracy Deonn's preferences and inspirations

1. She's an enemies to lovers fan, as stated in a tweet

2. Bree is inspired by revenge! Katara from ATLA, as stated in a tweet

3. In a podcast she said Sel was like " a tiny zuko" (from ATLA)

4. She's literal zutara( zuko and Katara) trash

5. Bree is also inspired by Bonnie from vampire diaries

6. Sel is inspired by Damon from vampire diaries

7. Damon and Bonnie start off as enemies like Sel and Bree but become best friends

8. In the vampire diaries books, they even date.

9. And most importantly, tracy deonn ships bonnie and damon and even stated that she wrote them into her book

I don't have any stakes in Legendborn love triangle, but while I won't be mad if it ends up poly, I will be disappointed. I just really want to see how she resolves everything from a craft perspective. So many authors fail at resolving their triangles in a way that is satisfying or isn't contrived. But I trust Tracy to pull it off, and I want to see her do it. Poly would be the easy answer (even though I know from real life experience, it's really not easier in practice); everyone goes home happy. But I want to see her find a solution to the tough question of how this all plays out if monogamy the end game.
