Boyfriends that murder together stay together (even after one of them throws them both from a cliff)
I'm not saying he isn't abusive on his own way but I was surprised that it was toned down at all.
I'm very curious about what they are going to do with his death now. I think in the books it's like a moment of righteousness for Sally who not only tolerated the abuse but couldn't fight back for the sake of her kid, and it felt just. Now, however, I'm not sure if the show audience would be okay with her straight up murdering him, or allowing him to die at least. I think maybe they'll make it more of an accident, in a 'he had it coming' sort of way? Like Sally will warn him about the head, he will not listen and Boom statue.
Anyways, very curious about what's going to happen with him.
The commotion about how they “toned down” Gabe’s abuse in the pjo show and how now he is just “pathetic” or “annoying” but not abusive just goes to show how we have normalized abusive behaviors in heteronormative relationships, but some of you are not ready to have this conversation.
And at the end of the day, the saddest part of season two is that even though both tried to choose each other they ended up choosing themselves.
