A very messy format pokemon comic about pokemon nicknames. First drawing is a Houndoom with cartoonish googly eyes looking as if it's going to nom on a sleeping Mabosstiff's tail, but it's been caught, evidenced by the large spiky text bubble saying "Behave, Larceny!" (That being the Houndoom's name).
Second drawing is Arven and Captain (an oc) sitting on a picnic table bench. "I noticed you give your Pokemon some... interesting names." Arven comments. To the side, some screenshots of in-game Pokemon names appear: PORRIDGE (in all caps) the Fezandipiti, US Tax $s the Camerupt, Uhhhhhh? the Glimmora, and Chevrolet the Feraligatr. Cap responds, "I'm bad at naming stuff so I usually go with whatever comes to mind. They tend to end up super wack."
"Grey and Maple sound normal, though," Arven says, to which Captain goes, "trust me, they're outliers." Next to his waving hand is a screenshot of a Vaporeon named "My Wife" with the text "no, this is not a reference to the copypasta".
Next, an off-screen Arven asks, "that reminds me, what did you name Koraidon?" Captain looks embarassed. "Well, uh... I don't name every Pokemon! Altaria there has no nickname!" Cut to an Altaria looking confused. Some notes next to it state that it was traded with no nickname, can be renamed, and that Captain has no ideas + is making excuses.
On the far right side of the page is "LATER..." with some scribbles leading down to a goofy little colored sketch of Arven looking at a piece of paper, visibly bothered by whatever's on it. "...That's why he didn't want to tell me." Is all he says.

I do in fact give my Pokemon some weird-ass nicknames so here is something that is mostly me poking fun at myself. Yes those are all actual mons that I have named.

Don't ask how Captain would have the knowledge of a non-existent United States or Chevrolet car company to name his Pokemon those things because there is no Watsonian explanation for that mess. Except maybe "Damned With the Knowledge of Another World" but I don't really wanna go that route.

When I found out you could nickname traded Pokemon as long as they didn't have a nickname already or their name wasn't in a different language I went nuts because I'm one of those people that absolutely has to nickname all the Pokemon they use often. I am still drawing a blank on that particular Altaria, though. Will probably end up being a Carl or something idk.

why is it so hard to find good trail mix that doesn't have almonds

I don't like almonds all that much every time I find a tasty looking trail mix. boom. almonds. that and vanilla yogurt raisins... why would you ruin a perfectly good raisin with... eugh... white chocolate-lite probably an unpopular trail mix opinion but I'm the guy who eats sesame sticks and rye chips this should be expected waffledog barks

The wafflegator is here to steal your pancakes

I have always loved crocodilians since I was a kid, that has not changed I am still obsessed, and I always got jokes about my "alligator arms" so it was inevitable that I would draw my sona as one eventually

This time he's grey-blue because that's my favorite color and it kinda made more sense (it may also be a reference to a very old piebald gator oc named Ranch Dip that I drew exactly once)
