a hand with cuts and bruises is emerging from the dark waves. next to the hand the title "breathing underwater" is written in big letters.

Hunter, in the midst of a seastorm, soaked wet with cuts and bruises and gasping for breath, is looking at emperor belos who is standing on water. behind belos is some holy light shining so that he looks like a saint or a savior. on top of belos' head, 'i tried breathing underwater to drown out the doubt' is written.

hunter is holding his right hand towards belos, calling for help. light is shining on his face and hands. on top of Hunter's head is 'I cracked under the pressure and nearly bled out' is written.

Belos, still looking saintly, looks at Hunter without any visible emotion on his face. the atmosphere is bright. next to Belos 'you said you'd always save me' is written.

the background turns red and only Belos' cold, blue eyes are visible. the rest of him is pitch black. 'so where are you now?' is written all around him.

Belos turns around and ignores Hunter's pleas, leaving Hunter in the seastorm. Hunter is staring at Belos with a shocked expression. 'feels like I'm failing, I'm dancing while drowning' is written on the sky.

as Hunter sinks into the water we can see a pile of skulls heaped on the floor of the sea, all belonging to the previous grimwalkers. 'alone' is written next to Hunter.

I strongly believe it's acephobic to bend ace characters into being allo, whether its a headcanon or fanfic. Whatever the case is, it's still erasure. People seem to be more willing to slide past it bc they don't treat asexuality seriously.
