The dark woods, a sense of danger but nothing seen, only the hair standing on the back of my neck

Silence and writhing maggots, the faintest taste and smell of fresh blood and rotten garbage

The overwhelming drive to run, but not knowing which direction

The sounds of alarm calls, the woods are screaming and I still don't know

If I sit tight, if I stay quiet, maybe they won't find me

If I flush they will catch me, but they are coming closer, closer, Closer, CLOSER, CLOSER

AND I CANNOT BEAR IT I MUST FLY I MUST FLEE I MUST RUN

the woods fall silent, and all that is left is a pile of feathers and fresh blood

hmmm if you were the subject of a horror movie what would the symbolic imagery or recurring themes in it be for you… mine would be paralyzing guilt, slugs, one last bite of food left on a plate, fire at a distance
