Dreaming of the day

[The following is an oc lore poem written by me.]

As the sun rises at dawn,

she wakes up the moon from her slumber,

who just proceeds to jawn.

Enthusiastically the sun explains her plan,

and even though the moon doesn't understand, she's still a loving fan.

As they finish this silly little meeting,

they both go hand in hand,

to give the world an unforgettable greeting!

Well, hand in hand only in spirit,

and if you wonder why,

while the moon simply isn't ready,

the sun is very shy.

Will that ever change? Is something you may ask,

And I say:

Well, only on the day,

that the moon will drop her mask.

Doodle dump! The first 3 doodles are the last drawings I made on my phone.

I never showed Mina with both eyes visible, which is literally just because I forgot to do it. There's no lore reason why her eye is covered, I just wanted to make her design look interesting.

I doodled Charlie to see how she'd look like with a nose, and I decided that I'll stick with it for her redesign because I think she's far easier to draw with one... maybe I'll change the shape of it later on, dunno, I'm experimenting-

His favorite drink is hot chocolate, he mostly makes it himself based on Grandma Charlene's recipe, it's very good.

While his worries are mostly justified and sensical, sometimes he tends to be overprotective about the people he cares about.

Loves collecting stickers, and likes to use them at any given opportunity. He has had a stickerbook ever since he was little.

Sometimes he gives out stickers as a reward to people for doing a good job at something, along with candy, but he may give the person something different if he knows they prefer something else.

Same thing does for bandages, he has a bunch of different ones and he gives people the ones he thinks that they'd like. He gives the people he loves heart shaped ones, so if you see Charlotte walking around with a bunch of hearts on her body, you'll know why.

He likes to do arts and crafts, and owns probably too many supplies for it. He and Charlotte often do it together.

Has a special interest in flowers and botany. He usually helps Grandma Charlene with the plants around the house and all of the ones inside it. He likes to give all of of them names, and they live for quite a while since he takes gardening seriously, but also cuz he pretty much has a green thumb. He knows virtually anything about it, and he has plenty of books about it too.

Doesn't like silence, he usually always has something playing in the background. He can't sleep in silence either, so he turns on the fan each night.

Is an extrovert who doesn't like being alone and prefers for someone to accompany him if he's going somewhere, usually he takes Charlotte along with him which she enjoys.

Finds eye contact awkward and only really does it with people he knows very well, since at that point he's comfortable enough as to where it's not awkward to him anymore.

Tends to stare at things he thinks are pretty and interesting for long periods of time, something or someone usually snaps him out of it.

He's a hoarder that has a hard time throwing away things, cuz "You may never know when you'll need them!". This is why he has such an array of items in his fanny pack. Their attic is full of random stuff, as well as his room.

Has been afraid of thunder and thunderstorms ever since he was little, and still is. He usually tries to act as if he's totally not afraid whenever it thunders outside, for the sake of seeming mature... he's not very good at it.

He's very good at making pancakes, he's constantly trying out new ways to make them look fun. Charlotte always has some new wild request, and he's up for the challenge to make it look like whatever she suggested.

Collection of Dan doodles I collected over the school year in my notebooks. He's the only one I can properly draw from memory out of the trio.

When I drew these I also thought of two random headcanons/ideas, they don't have to be canon by any means but I felt like putting these out there for fun. They're under the cut!

1. Dan has a snake tounge for no other reason besides that it looks cute and I think it suits him. Maybe he likes snakes idk.

2. He wags his... ghost tail? whenever he's happy, like a dog. He often does this without realizing it. Also, the ghost tail? is also extendable and can stretch into a seemingly endless length. It can also move and form shapes, which makes him more expressive. Sometimes it gives away his actual emotions, for example he pretends he's mad but his tail? forms a heart. He often doesn't realize it, which would be a lil visual gag.

Sunny Sunrise Intro

Sunny Sunrise is an unused Welcome Home character concept, whose development was cut short before it was ever finalized.

But, luckily, there's plenty of restored concept artwork and notes from which we can deduce what she would've been like.

Apparently, there once existed the idea of a segment in the show which would have been aired exclusively during the morning.

The segment in question was going to be called "Way To Start The Day!" and it was where Sunny's character would come into play.

During the segment, she would teach children about the importance of eating a healthy breakfast each day, having proper morning hygiene and not sleeping in too often.

More often than not she would've also invited the other characters to accompany her on the way, and that's where it would get fun.

You see, Sunny was supposed to be an antagonistic character. A comedic one, but an antagonist nevertheless.

Her main enemy being Sally Starlet, someone who, as a gag, says that she doesn't know who Sunny is, despite the fact that they've known each other since childhood.

Sally was always seen as the brightest star in the sky, meanwhile Sunny was seen as the second brightest. (The sun is a star as well, but almost nobody in this universe believes Sunny when she argues this, as a gag.)

So, due to this Sunny swore that she'll get her revenge on Sally one day. In every segment of hers she'd try to ruin Sally's life throughout some elaborate plan, either with Sally directly or through one of the other neighbors.

One of the notes states that "She doesn't live in the main neighborhood, but instead her house is located in the one next to it." which confirms that she wasn't supposed to be part of the neighborhood, but instead a minor character that would appear occasionally.

The plans would always be rather silly and not 'life ruinningly' evil, they would rather just cause minor inconveniences. The plan would basically be a fail each time even if it goes according to plan because they don't cause that much damage anyways. Despite this, Sunny would keep trying.

Personality wise, Sunny is a loud, energetic, confident and a mischievous person who is, besides her 'evil shenanigans' a kind girl at heart. She's quite sporty and would show some easy morning exercises during her segment. She'd be very expressive with her gestures and poses, anything to get her words across as dramatically and fantastically as possible.

Even concept artwork for her puppet had been made and it was going to be a live-hand puppet that requires an additional hand to move the head, since it would have been quite large. One unique feature that this puppet was supposed to have, is that her shoes could turn into actual mini roller skates with the press of a button, which would've also been a thing during her segment, as she would kick the heels of her feet and the wheels would show up. This was most likely done as to emphasize that she's quick on her feet, according to a note. But, unfortunately, the puppet was never made.

Even though Sunny's s character is nowhere near present in the universe of Welcome Home, we can still find reused remains of her character in the characters we do have.

The main example of course being Sally Starlet, whom Sunny is most likely a beta version of. While the design and personality attributes are obvious, Sunny also shares Sally's talents and love for singing and dancing, which Sally is supposedly better at than Sunny.

Also, Sunny's loves and interests for knitting, sewing, cooking and baking were given to Poppy instead. Sunny's name was most likely taken from a bird concept character who was also named Sunny.

The direct reason for the erasure of Sunny Sunrise as a character is currently unknown, and even though we do have some theories about it, we'll wait until we gain more information about the overall production of the show until we try to piece it together any further.
