I get obsessions with books I can’t find anywhere to buy. I browse pages upon pages, search everywhere, join online groups to see if anyone wants to sell it. I overcome my social anxiety and ask in bookshops. I google every second hand bookshop in my area. Sometimes these books were never even translated in my language, so I search in other countries too.

And then after days, weeks, months in the search, I finally find it. I finally buy it. And holding the book in my own hands, seeing it on my shelf gives me so much satisfaction it’s hard to describe.

Much more fun than crushes.
