as soon as Kira saw that Holga was stabbed, I knew that they were going to use the resurrection tablet on her instead of Edgin's wife, but the movie just let the scene happen without saying "Ugh, bringing her back was so obvious/cliche, right?" It let the moment be sincere, Kira and Edgin singing with Holga as she died was sad and sweet, then bringing her back felt sincere. It doesn't "no homo" the moment, and I really appreciate that.

Today is a remembrance day in Hungary, of the 13 rebel generals executed by the Austrian Empire.

Thirteen Martyrs of Arad, or in Hungarian,(tizenhárom) aradi vértanúk.

(12 generals and 1 colonel)

On the same day, the first Hungarian prime minister, Batthyány Lajos, was also executed in Pest.

According to legend, while the revolutionary generals were executed, the Austrian soldiers drank beer and proudly clinked their beer mugs to celebrate Hungary's defeat. Hungarians have vowed that they will no longer toast glasses while drinking beer for 150 years.

Lázar Vilmos, Dessewffy Arisztid, Kiss Ernő and Schweidel József were shot.

Poeltenberg Ernő, Török Ignác, Lahner György, Knezić Károly, Nagysándor József, Gróf Leiningen-Westerburg Károly, Aulich Lajos, Damjanich János, Gróf Vécsey Károly were all hung.

Vécsey Károly's punishment was aggravated by the fact that he had to watch the execution of his companions, so he was hanged last.
