Loungewear Jamil Cards and Sprites. Guys, I'm inconsolable...
I said I would get my hands on him and I did.

I feel like sometimes certain TWST fans categorize Azul's trauma as less than because they boil it down to "He was bullied." And that is where they stop, but I feel like they don't see the layers as to why he was bullied.
Facts from the game are that Azul was bullied for being slow, his appearance, and being a crybaby. We also know his peers did not respect him until he held power over them(this, of course, transfered to how he behaves at NRC). Azul grew up around kids who hated him for his natural appearance, something he couldn't control, making him think he didn't look pretty and to have a negative self-image. They also accidentally taught him that if he doesn't have anything over people, he can not be their equal.
I think everyone is aware that Azul's bullies were racist. That is quite clear in the story. Azul's species is considered to not be common in the Coral Sea, implying that they are either not native to there or have a low birth rate. Maybe even a combination of both. This can also lead to the idea that Azul was possibly the only octomer at their school, making his alienation from his peers more evident. Another thing you have to remember is that children are not born racist. They have to learn that behavior from someone, so Azul's bullies had to have a source. Whether it be an educator or their parents, this racist prejudice against Azul came from someone else. This was also high society. The Coral Sea prince went to their school, high class mers were here, meaning this wasn't just a small opinion in a little town, but an opinion high class society has against octomers that could possibly trickle down to lower spaces in mer society.

So I think Kalim is a lot more powerful than people think
Kalim is capable of replenishing an oasis and creating a small sea with his UN without too much effort. That's impressive on its own, but I don't remember any point in the game specifying that he can only manifest the spell through rain.
Rain is almost universally seen as the most gentle, healing form of water. (The first rain of the rainy season is a big thing in places where seasons are mostly dry/rainy.) Especially when compared with storms, floods, ect. Is manifesting the spell like this an active choice Kalim makes? If he chose to, could he summon it as a tsunami?
Kalim is also associated with the sun, as seen in various animated trailers. While the sun is completely nessercary for life, it also has almost unparalleled potential for destruction. Again, something with equal potential for destruction and healing, and when it comes to Kalim, it becomes helpful.
He seems to be constantly making the active to use his power (both magical and political) to help people, even if he isn't consciously aware he's doing it.
Sunshine boy............

Doomed siblings.

Every time I look at this panel I just imagine that after this Floyd went to Octavinelle kicking his feet and giggling

I just want to point out: the twins hesitate to leap deeper into the darkness to save Azul, not because they fear for their own safety, but because they trust Azul to handle himself.
When the darkness tries to swallow Azul a second time, the twins have no issue letting him fall, allowing him to freely confront his deepest, darkest self. Alone.
“What did I tell you?” Floyd says in the end. “Leave Azul alone and he’ll figure out how to fend for himself.”
See, for the twins, there’s a reason Azul leads Octavinelle. There’s a reason he’s their Housewarden. There’s a reason they grew legs and followed him on land.
Azul embodies Octavinelle’s spirit of independence—of always taking responsibility for one’s actions, no matter the consequence. He overcame this darkness before, on his own terms, with his own set prices. He can and he will do it again. Distrusting Azul’s process would mean, in effect, distrusting themselves.
So while the twins’ approach might seem cruel and cold to the rest of the dream hopping crew, the truth remains as it’s always been: the trio’s relationship operates on trust—on the understanding that even in the ocean’s darkest depths, neither one of them needs to tell the other how to glow.
Azul is stubborn. Azul is resourceful. Azul is Azul. And nobody knows that better than Jade and Floyd.

brother shenanigans 🤌
(based on this post by @darkacua)
stop i hate when people say pomefiore, or vil specifically, ruined rook. i heavily doubt rook was forced to do anything. honestly, i heavily doubt rook can be forced to do anything he doesn’t want to do. i am sure he had fun in savanaclaw, he loves finding beauty in unconventional places. he probably had a blast stalking his prey and bothering people like leona lmao. but the main difference is that now he has someone that cares about him as much as he cares about them. he is not a bother to vil. rook finally has someone that appreciates his strange, yet sweet, personality. how can people see that and feel angry at vil.
vil they could never make me hate u
THANK YOUUUU SOMEONE SAYS IT
Sebek they will never understand you like I do

Sometimes I wake up and think how horribly low NRC's bar is when you could easily place Malleus in the top 5 generally nice characters among them 💀
- when not trying his damnest to make friends he's really just minding his own business
- always trying to be helpful. Almost always a guaranteed fail but it's the thought that counts
- doesn't insult others unless in retaliation
- actually apologizes unlike 95% of the school
- literally overblots because he has too much love
Makes me remember that thread where people vote where they'd want to sit on a plane filled with NRC students. Predictably 90% of the responses were by Malleus' side; some just because they're simps ofc but many said it's just because he's not exhausting to be around with. A nice blend of meaningful conversations and comfortable silence when you need it.
Lowkey if I was Floyd I would not take that disrespect like WDYM THIS IS HOW MY OWN BROTHER SEES ME

Yup, still not done. I'm gonna use every known Meme format for the chapter (that's a promise. Or a threat.)
