Fitzwilliam Darcy: *grimacing* it's a three.

Caroline Bingley: *derisively* she only looks like she wants to stab you, Darcy.
Fitzwilliam Darcy: *shrugs* I guess I am too nervous to really give her a proper look.

Jane Austen: Elizabeth blushes. She is absolutely stunned.

Charles Bingley: *making a face*
Caroline Bingley: *playfully disgusted frown* and I made my character romance you?
Fitzwilliam Darcy: -and I might be acting impulsively, I just have to let her know that I love her. That's it.

Jane Austen: *smacks her lips* okay-
Charles Bingley: *histerical laughter* I don't like the way you said it-

Fitzwilliam Darcy: *dawning horror* I had forgotten they had talked, fuck-
Jane Austen: and, finally-
Charles Bingley: there is more? He is already dead-

an underrated detail in pride and prejudice is that elizabeth bennett was home alone on the day darcy proposed because she had a headache. can you imagine. this was in the pre-painkillers era. you're at home with a headache and then this asshole walks into the room and tells you he loves you and wants to marry you even though he hates your whole family and you're beneath him. imagine having to deal with that while also having a headache. she doesn't even have ibuprofen
Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy being like, "I am 100% committed to respecting your 'no', but I heard you wouldn't promise my aunt not to marry me so I had to come and check just one (1) more time."

I'm an objective person so I know the women he cheated on me with is prettier. All of them were... so yeah just listening to this helps me get the feeling out. I promise I'm not taking any of my insecurities (about being cheated on) and putting them on my new love interest it's not constructive well not for me anyways. It doesn't help. My new partner was also abused/cheated on and put through absolute hell so he understands but he never let's me try to relate to him. I guess that's the one thing bugging me... I get it though... I guess I just feel like my feelings can't compare... theirs alot going on in my mind at the moment. I relate to him alot. I just wish he would try to understand me too? Idk it doesn't really matter at all it doesn't.
