'no.' was his first thought. 'no, no, no, no. this can't be happening.. not again..' he thinks. donald stares at you with wide eyes as you tell him the news. "i have leukemia." you say, looking down at your hands. "...what?" he asks quietly, eyes wide. "no.. no you- i-.." he trails off. his eyes start to water as he thinks of his mother, laying in the hospital bed on life-support.

as if you can read his mind, you say, "the doctor said chemotherapy is helpful, and the five-year survival rate is 65%. it'll probably go away with chemo, it's okay." you say, rubbing his back soothingly. "it'll be okay, donald." you add, placing a kiss on his temple.

"yeah, yeah.. it's okay, you're okay, you're fine, yeah.. it'll be okay.." he mumbles, trying to convince himself. .・。.・゜✭・.

that was 4 years ago, and things weren't looking good. you were losing your memory, your skin was pale, you were losing you appetite as swallowing became painful, you were losing weight, and it was harder to breathe.

donald visited whenever he could, but it became harder as the union grew. he took a few weeks off to spend time with you. there wasn't much left anyway.

donald sat by your bed holding you hand and placing soft kisses on it as he watched you rest. your cheeks had become hollow, your body frail. the doctor had informed him you didn't have much time left, a few days at most.

"donald..? is that you..?" you whisper. "yeah, i'm here.." he responds, softly. "what about your meeting?" you asked. "i already went.." he smiled, lying through his teeth. the meeting was 3 weeks ago. but he couldn't find it in his heart to correct you.

bang...bang..

"oh, hey! look, fireworks!" you beam, your eyes lighting up as you looking out the window. "is today something special?" you ask. "no.. i don't think so.." he responds. "hmm, i wonder what they're for.." you trail off. donald couldn't say the same, he set them up after all, knowing how much you enjoy watching them.

"when i go, i hope i go out just as beautifully.." you sigh, gazing out the window. "i'd like it if you didn't go at all.." he mumbles, watching your smile.

that's when reality hit for donald, you really were going. and it scared him.

"donald, i.." you begin, looking at your intertwined hands. 'please don't say it..' he thought. "i think i'm ready now.." you say, giving him a sheepish smile. 'fuck..that's even worse..'

"okay..." he starts, voice cracking as he tries to stay strong for you. and because he's loves you, he lets you say it. "i love you.."

"i love you too.." he says, covering his eyes with a hand in an attempt to hide his tears. "it'll be okay.. i'll be with you.." you begin. "in here," you point to his forehead, "and in here." you finish, pointing to his heart. and with that, you let sleep overtake you.

and you were right, maybe not in the way you meant it, but when he wakes up and your heart is no longer beating, the first places to hurt are his head and heart.

a/n: i've been obsessed with weak hero lately, i keep rereading it and wolf is SO FUNNY LMAO LIKE BRO DOES NOT GAF ABT ANYTHING also this song is SOO GOOD, and idk how phones ring. lmk how this is!! (he's prob so ooc, whateverr)

'incoming call: wolf'

"hello?" you answer, tiredly. "are you asleep?" he asks. "i was, not anymore. why? what's up?" you respond, rubbing the sleep from your eye. "look out your window." he answers, flatly.

you do as he says, and lo and behold, he's standing outside, waving his arm. "come down, i'll catch you." he says into the phone. "wolf, it's twelve in the morning, what makes you think i'm gonna jump out of my window in my pajama's, just because you asked me to?" you question. "i'll buy icecream." he says. "give me two minutes, let me change." you respond. "i'll be waiting."

'call ended.' .・。.・゜✭・.

"can't i just go from the front door?" you ask, too scared to jump out the window. "what if you're parents wake up?" he asks. "oh yeah."

"i'm too scared! go get a ladder or something." you say. "(y/n), i promise i will catch you. just trust me." he says with his arms out. "...okay." you say hesitantly, slightly closing the window behind you.

you leap out the window and he wraps his arms around you, safely placing you on the ground. "you're fine, see?" "yeah, let's go."

wolf moves his motorcycle down the street, not wanting to wake your parents, and turns it on, helping you sit and placing a helmet on your head. "please drive slowly." you say, wrapping your arms around him and holding on tightly. "yeah, whatever." he responds, rolling his eyes and taking off.

after driving for about 20 minutes, you ask, "where are we even going?" "i don't know..? somewhere.." he responds. 'somewhere we can be alone.' "wow, thank's for really narrowing it down." you say, sarcasm evident in your voice. "and what about my icecream?" you question, remembering his promise. "there's a gas station nearby, we'll get it from there." he says. .・。.・゜✭・.

"which one do you want?" he asks. "i'm stuck between these two." you say, holding up two popsicles. "pick a number, one or two." you continue. "one." he responds quickly. "no but i want the second one... yeah! i'm choosing this." you say, holding up the second option. "okay.." he says, with a breathy laugh. "which one are you getting?" you ask. "this." he responds, grabbing a random one and heading towards the check-out. .・。.・゜✭・.

wolf parks his motorcycle and takes a seat next to you on the bench, watching as you happily eat the icecream. "is yours any good?" you ask, noticing he barely ate any. "it's okay." he responds.

"can i try some?" you ask, staring him with the best puppy eyes you could muster. you place your own on the bench as he hands his over to you. "oo, it's good." you say, taking a spoonful. "i don't like it, you can finish it." he says, flatly. "really? then, have some of mine." you add, handing your own to him.

he eyes it for a second before taking small scoop. and he must like it, because you notice something light up in his eyes as he gives you a look, asking for more. "it's good." "you can finish the rest." you offer.

he nods and finishes the rest in two spoonfulls. tossing the container and spoon into a nearby garbage can. he watches you carefully, taking in your features in reactions, trying to figure out if you actually like the icecream or if you're just saying you do. when he concludes you're enjoying it, he smiles softly and looks away, observing something else.

this action, however, doesn't go unnoticed by you, as it makes your grow warm.

after you finish your icecream, wolf tosses it for you and you both sit in silence. "i'm so tired!!" you whine, yawning as you break the silence. "wanna head back?" he asks, glancing at you. "nah, let's stay for a few minutes." you respond, leaning your head on his shoulder and wrapping your arms around his. in return, he leans his head ontop of your own and crosses his arms. .・。.・゜✭・.

as you return home, you can't help but feel a little dissapointed that your date was coming to an end. when you reach your window, you wrap your arms around wolf's neck and place a kiss on the cheek. "thank you wolf, i had fun." you say, pulling away to look at him as he wraps his arms around your waist. "go inside." he says, but not before leaning in and placing a soft kiss on your lips. his own way of saying "i had fun too."

he boosts you up with his hands and watches as you safely climb into the window. "goodnight! get home safe!" you call out softly from the window, hoping he hears. he raises his hand as a wave and walks off after you close the window.

ding!!

you look at your phone as you recieve a text.

Seong Taehoon x Reader: Happy Birthday! (feat Hansu)

G/N. Fluffy and a lil cracky. For @razypie informing us it's this dickhead's bday.

Taehoon blinks at the scene before him. This... this was not what he expected to come home to.

Sweat clinging to your skin and you in a skimpy top, giggling with his dad like you're both the best of friends, Hansu peering down at you fondly.

Standing a bit too close for comfort. Nudging him with your elbows like you're both in on a joke Taehoon is definitely not a part of.

You've made comments about his dad being a DILF before. About how good looking he is-

No. Fuck no. This is not that sort of scene. This is not his life.

"What the fuck is going on?"

Taehoon's voice alerts you to his presence, snapping you both out of your conversation. You both turn to him with matching guilty expressions, the easy atmosphere from seconds ago completely gone.

"Son," Hansu sounds uncertain, "You're back early."

Back early?! What the hell is that supposed to mean? "Seriously. What the fuck-"

"Hold on, assho- Taehoon," You change your wording in the nick of time. It is his birthday after all.

Your boyfriend stares incredulously at you. Don't think he didn't catch on to your insult.

"Just..." you stride over to Taehoon, giving him a kiss on the cheek as a way of greeting (which he stubbornly does not lean down to make it any easier for you), pushing him out of the kitchen and towards the sofa. "We won't be long."

How dare you manhandle Taehoon. How dare you push him about in his own home

Fine. Fucking fine.

He plops down on the sofa. Scowl on his face and arms folded tight. Eyes glued to you and Hansu still visible through the doorway.

He sits and stares. Stares and sits. Five minutes pass. Then ten.

What sort of fucking birthday is this? Taehoon wonders if he's too old for a tantrum. But that's exactly what you and his dad deserve. You get him at his brattiest worst for ignoring him.

As Taehoon makes up his mind and about to leap over and give you two a piece of his mind-

You come out holding a wooden tray with dishes precariously balanced.

Fried eggs. Kimchi Stew. Fried Rice. Grilled Spam. Gukbap. All his favourites.

Oh. Right. This would have taken ages. This is what you two have been preparing. He's been too blinded by his annoyance to even notice the cooking.

Hansu follows shortly afterwards with a cake.

"Dad and I have been slaving in the kitchen for you, you ungrateful brat," you grin, no bite in your words and giving Taehoon's knee a fond squeeze.

(Both men twitch at you referring to Hansu as dad. No matter how many times, it still catches them both off guard.

And it's only thanks to a lifetime of training that Hansu doesn't drop the cake.)

"Happy Birthday!" you and Hansu say in unison.

Taehoon swallows down the lump in his throat. Anger he's used to. This- this he is not. His nostrils absolutely do not burn, his eyes do not sting.

His voice also doesn't crack when he says,

"...Thanks."
