After a few attempts and getting Shadowbanned again this side blog seems to be working. So I’ll be using this side blog in the meantime to comment and things like that.

Anyway, in happier news, it’s my boyfriend’s birthday!!!!!!!! 🥳🎂🎉❣️🥰🎁

I’m going to call him Michael after the character in the musical Be More Chill. He’s actually the best, so freaking hilarious (this guy can get me laughing like no other), and is a big fan of Bob’s Burgers like me. I knew I had to draw him up something special for his 21st birthday.

I studied the Bob’s Burgers art style and then @drawthethingdoppelganger’s art style, and made this super fun sketch!! I also used this as an excuse to do the color palette exercise again because I found a really cute one and I couldn’t help myself. And now I'm actually obsessed with this art style because doing this made me realize how adorable it is 🥺

I don't usually draw myself, because it seems kind of narcissistic? But it was really fun making a likeness of myself for this. Is it strange that my character is wearing a poodle skirt and it's not the fifties? Hush, I thought it would look cute.

Also, in honor of Michael's birthday, I've decided to host a (sort of) drawing challenge? Obviously, participation is completely optional. This is just for fun, but I'd adore seeing people get creative.

The challenge is to either draw this piece in your own art style, or draw yourself/your family/friends/other loved ones in the Bob's Burgers art style! There's no set deadline to lower stress, and I just want everyone to have fun (if anyone wants to participate).

I suddenly got thinking about the movie and Boblin Week again, and I remembered I had this piece that I made of Bob and Linda, specifically during the Sunny Side-Up Summer reprise, and I'm really surprised that I never shared it here because I did it a long time ago. I actually still kind of like how it came out, especially because I experimented with putting on two layers of both lighting and shading (and I used colored lineart here for the first time!).

I'm seriously kicking myself for not having shared this for Boblin Week. That was such a missed opportunity!

I'm also sharing the speed paint for this because... well... why not?? Pffffft.

No more artists should put their Commission info in front of me because I have such a problem with wanting to get Commissions so much 😭

I think I’m mentioning this because I’m literally Commissioning @drawthethingdoppelganger again because I just couldn’t resist after seeing the recent Comms she did for @babsvibes. God, I’m so flipping excited to see how it looks after the masterpiece she gifted me back in March.

Speaking of Commissions, though, mine are open too if any of y’all want a Comm from me! :D (Gotta be a gremlin and promote myself too, pffffffft)

Whoohoo!! I got the next few pages of my comic done!! I have to mention again that me taking on a big comic project like this was definitely inspired by @bluebirbbs and their comic, which everyone should read if they haven’t already. Their art style is so lovely.

Anyway, this might be my favorite section so far, because the dialogue was so much fun to write. Hopefully you can read my handwriting! 😅
