I dont really like making rebloggable posts but I haven’t seen anyone mention them yet: terracotta heaters are really easy and effective DYI heaters for cold emergencies and I think it might be helpful considering, you know

TDLR, place a candle of any size down, and put a terracotta pot (as large as possible preferably) over it, with something non-flammable and balanced to keep the bottom an inch or two off the ground, like bricks. 

The candle will heat the terracotta, which will put off heat, while the space underneath lets smoke out and oxygen in. I’ve used these all 3 times we had outages here in Maine during blizzards to keep my aquariums warm, the weather outside had been easily -20 F with high winds, and not only was I cozy, that shit kept the water 10 degrees above room temperature. If it can heat the aquariums, it’ll heat a small room.

They work so much better than you’d think, the heat they put off is insane. Obviously be careful because smoke and open flame, but they’re very easy to make and just need an eye kept on them on all times.

 Don’t touch the heated pot bare-handed, it’ll burn like a motherfucker, they get VERY hot. Use thick oven mitts or layered rags to remove pot, put the candle out first if you can manage. Don’t do more than one or two in a non-ventilated or closed room, it’s still making smoke and that can make it harder to breathe.

Thinking about how everyone around him, and I mean everyone, ended up telling Tubbo how awful of a president he was, publicly coming to the conclusion that he was a bad president, and even ridiculing him for it, except, ironically, Tommy.

Literally everyone, particularly after Doomsday but even before at times, verbally told Tubbo how awful he was of a president, agreeing that HE was the president that ran L’manberg into the ground, even insinuating that he was worse than previous presidents like Wilbur or Schlatt! Like, they genuinely cut him absolutely no slack, talking about how awful of a job he had done, sometimes even yelling at him for it, calling him a useless president that’s just a “follower,” second to the rest of his cabinet, and so on. 

It’s honestly both sad but also really interesting to think about how the only L’manbergian who ended up not doing this and not having these opinions was Tommy. Out of everyone in that entire country, you would expect Tommy to be the one to most strongly agree with these opinions, to be most strongly opposed to Tubbo’s presidency. After everything that happened in Season 2, it would make sense, right? But expectations were completed subverted. By the time Doomsday came around, Tommy was the one that was telling Tubbo “You did what you had to do,” and letting him know that the bad things that happened weren’t his fault, and that Tubbo was just doing what was best for his country. He was the one that fiercely defended Tubbo against Dream when Dream tried to call Tubbo a “follower” and insinuate that Tubbo was a bad president.

Tommy was the one that was defending Tubbo’s presidency, and was pretty much the only one, in a huge subversion of expectations. While everyone else was critiquing him, giving him grief over his presidency, and talking about how awful his term was, the one person that viewers would expect to hold these opinions strongly was the one person that showed understanding of Tubbo’s decisions and defended his presidency. It’s a cool subversion, and really does show Tommy and Tubbo’s bond.

I've been meaning to make this post for a while, but in light of recent events...I hope I can word this properly like I want to, but I'm not going to lie, the more people use "They're minors!! >:o" as a reason for why shipping Tubbo, Tommy, Ranboo, Purpled, etc. is bad, the more it grates on me a little bit.

The truth is, guys, it really won't be that long until they are adults. Using the fact that they're minors as the main reason why it's bad to ship them is infantilizing at best, and at worst it could lead to some...unforseen consequences after they do turn 18.

The main reason why things like "enderbees" and the like should be considered inappropriate is not the fact that they're not legal adults yet. The fact is, in both the US and the UK, the age of consent is 16; if that were the only issue, you might still find it weird, but it wouldn't be worth getting up in arms over, if all involved parties said they were okay with it.

The reason shipping them is bad is the fact that they don't consent to it, and I imagine that will remain true in a year or so. They're not babies, they have the capacity to understand and decide how they feel about being shipped irl (and every right to say it's fuckin weird); it's unfair to them to take away their agency like that, and we need to set a precedent for that now instead of later when people are saying it's not bad because they're not minors anymore without understanding why it was bad then anyway.

Tl;dr: Tubbo, Tommy, Ranboo, Purpled, etc. are old enough to make decisions for themselves, shipping them is bad mainly because they don't consent to it, not because they're minors.
