Another figure down from my pile of shame!

Never really watched Hellboy, but he looks really cool, so now he's on my shelf :D

Also, he was an excuse to try and get a process for leather down, which I've been playing with for a bit. I really like how it turned out, though I could definitely work on making it a bit smoother.

This model is Hellboy - 30 CM model by Printed Obsession.

WIZAR!

I tried painting this mini with a bit more focus on lighting than I normally do. Most of the time I'm just hitting the upward facing surfaces with some highlights, but this time I went for trying to highlight as if he was facing into the light. I'm not sure it totally works, but I'm pretty happy with how it came out all the same.

I also got to play around with foam a bit making the rock for him to stand on, which is always fun.

I'm so glad to be done with this mini. It's really cool, but painting all of those leaves individually in different shades was soul-crushing. I started on this mini months ago (back in January) and just kept putting off working on it. And I knew if I set it aside to paint something else I just wouldn't come back to it, and I didn't want it just sitting there off to the side. Judging me.

But it's done now and it looks great! I'm really happy with how it turned out!

If I could change one thing from the start of this project, I'd have painted the wings individually from the body of the dragon. Having to manoeuvre the whole mini around to get at just the right angles was difficult, especially because there are (or were -_- ) a lot of delicate little branches I kept accidentally snapping off trying to hold it.

Putting the glow effect on the chest was a bit nerve-wracking, I was really worried I'd end up over spraying and ruining the leaves somehow, but I'm glad I tried it. It really adds something I think.

I also tried out some dirty down moss on the log the dragon is standing on, and I've got to say its great stuff. Definitely going to be looking for excuses to use it more now that I've tried it.

Painted a super quick and easy mini to chill after the undead dragon. Just a red base, metallic copper drybrush, and a couple of derails.

New mini! The cutest lil wizard :3

This is my character Noda for an upcoming game! They're a racoon folk student mage who definitely got their invitation to wizard school through 100% legitimate means.

I painted them a little rough in places, but its a small mini so its less noticeable :D

I'm also experimenting with the picture-taking process a little. Got a glossy piece of black acrylic, which is cool by holy cow does it like to pick up every little spec of dust around. I really need to do some serious dust-busting sometime XD

It also jars really badly with the backdrop I've been using. I might need to pick up some black felt or something. I should also probably look at actual guides and stuff rather than yoloing it, but oh well :)

Pretty happy with how this turned out for something I didn't really have a plan for when I started. I had no clue what colour I was doing for the hair until I mixed up a pink by accident and just rolled with it.

Putting the rust effect on the sword was lots of fun, it's such a cool texture.
