Huge Emergency!!!!

My roomate and I are trans, disabled, and homeless. We need to leave our bnb tomorrow or be arrested for trespassing and we need to book the bnb for until then too. We also need a lot of necessities.

Petition: Hold a referendum on the monarchy when the current monarch's reign ends

When the current monarch's reign ends, we want a referendum on whether to abolish the monarchy.

In 2019 the ‘hardest working’ royal did an equivalent of 4 months full-time work, with expenses paid for private jets and luxury accomodation. He was paid just over £1.5 million.

That’s roughly £32,000 per hour. That is approximately £14,000 more than minimum wage workers earn per year.

And our goverment are currently demonising union workers who are striking for decent pay during a cost of living crisis.

(And to disprove the favourite rallying cry: Royal Tourism accounts for merely 0.3% of the UK’s Tourism revenue.)

BIG UPDATE Aug 3

Still homeless trans and disabled if you need to know! It is looking very likely that we will have to move south. This is due to a combination of things - both costs and Several family emergencies, as well as other factors. To do this we need money for transportation, medication and other essentials (food etc).

Our checkout date here is the 5th so we need to get to somewhere new nearby asap or risk arrest for trespassing.

On top of this we urgently need $300 to pay our storage bill as they have ended the lease because we've always been late paying the bill. If we do not pay this ASAP we will lose our stuff as they will auction it off.

In terms of transport we will need money to move this stuff south with us. We also have things we need to pick up from a friend's place to bring down with us.

I am setting the goal at $2000 as we will need shelter here for at least another week to sort things out and prepare for the move.
