okok hear me out... this is just a theory, BUT!! we know chris buffed up in re5 as a direct response to losing jill, so it would make sense that hed loose some muscle after getting her back (even tho he was still buffed up in re6 3 years later but wtvr. that was work-related as far as im concerned). its possible that around re7 he got more time off and lost a shit ton of muscle. notice how re7 chris looks more like re1 chris than all the others? im having a hard time articulating my words so i apologize if this isn't coherent, but what im trying to say is re7 chris (horrific as he may be) might be the closest we have to what chris would look like had he never joined the BSAA.

I find it funny how Leon Kennedy is very consistently designed for each game while for whatever reason Chris Redfield animorphs into a different person each game. Like, what the fuck happened between resident evil 7 and 8.
