Cliffhanger

Heâs just gotten home.
You donât hear him just yet, upstairs. Youâre busy with class, getting annoyed with the people in it. They were trying to copy off of your work, and didnt want to put any effort into the discussion.
You walk downstairs to get a glass of water to cool off when you see him.
TĆru is eating a cut peach off of a plate, dipping it in honey before he places it carefully into his mouth. Heâs in his button up and slacks, yet he looks ethereal. You pause on the stairs.
He looks up at you, smiling slightly.
âY/N, how was your day, dear?â He asks, voice layered in sugar as he takes another bite of honeyed fruit.
âFrustrating.â You answer, sighing heavily as you enter the kitchen to get a glass of water. You keep getting distracted by him, watching as he takes another bite of peach. The sun flowed so well against his skin, illuminating it in a yellow glow. You fill your cup to the brim, observing him as you walk to the table to sit with your water.
âOh? Do tell.â He leans against the counter.
âThese people in class are terrible, trying to copy off my work! When they havenât done anything.â You vent to him, telling him how incompetent they were.
âHow infuriating.â He replies, tilting his head like a curious bird looking at a shiny coin. âHow dare they treat you like that, love. If I had my way, I wouldnât allow them to even look at you. You are blessed by me, are you not?â
You hesitate. Why was he talking that way? It wasnât unheard of for Oikawa to get confident, no. But this was different. Something about the way he was looking at you, the way he walked, the way his voice sounded.
âI suppose so, people are just stupid.â
His response is delayed by another bite of the fruit on his plate. He was almost finished. âWho cares about people?â His eyes glide over you. âYouâre so benevolent for keeping up this nice façade, love. They should be grateful for even talking to you.â
Your stomach swirls, anxious.
âFaçade?â
âYouâre faking being nice, arenât you? After all,â Oikawa smiles at you, chewing and swallowing the last piece of peach he had on his plate. He scoops up honey on his finger and swipes it against his tongue, a smile appearing. âI have graced you with my presence all the same. They should be happy to even look at you. Iâll squeeze every ounce of respect from their bodies.â
You shudder at the thought. âYou..graced me, TĆru?â
He nods, sitting on the edge of the table. He looks down at you from your seated position in the chair. His brown eyes catch the sun and turn golden.
âI mean, I guess! You being around is lovely.â You continue, laughing nervously. You pause when he leans forward and kisses you. Honey and peach. The kiss is broken by you first. âI love you. â
âI know, Y/N.â He answers, pulling you onto his lap. âWho wouldnât?â A slight smile. âIâm a fucking god.â
You laugh again at that.
âYouâre beautiful, yes. Angelic, maybe. But god? I donât think so.â You answer, bringing out a frown on his face. He pauses before kissing you again, running a thumb over your cheek. He trails it down to your neck in pecks.
âDonât you feel holy, dear?â Youâre too breathless to respond.
His voice comes back up to near your ear.
âYou know what Iâm going to do to you, hm?â
âKiss me again?â You try, whimpering when he grinds into you.
He laughs at your naive comment and the noise you made. He felt powerful.
âNo. Iâm going to fuck you.â

An idea thatâs been stuck in my head for awhile is that Class 1-A + teachers get stuck in a quirk. It takes any group stuck in it, and one at a time they have to attempt a trial. If any one person passes, then they go free. If nobody passes, they die. The others may watch, but not interact with the person currently undergoing their trial. The rules for how to win the trial are not explained.
The order is random and Kirishima is first. Thereâs a kid crying and scared of some bullies. Kirishima promises heâll protect the child from them, but quickly discovers he canât. They can only advise the child on what to do or not to do. They cannot physically intervene.
Knowing that, Kirishima advises the child to fight back against the bullies. He fails his trial.
Izuku attempts the trial next. His child is upset because a friend has been saying mean things to them. Izuku tells them that they ought to confront the person and stop being friends with them.
Izuku fails his trial.
Several more students go. All fail, despite trying different routes.
Aizawa is in the middle, and his child is grieving over loss. He makes it farther than a lot of his students, but fails when he tells them to let go. That once someone is gone, theyâre gone forever.
A few more go. Shouto makes it longer than some of the others, but he fails too.
Then itâs Katsukiâs turn.
Only his situation isnât like the others. The others had playgrounds, schools, bedrooms. His child is in a cell. Their arms are bound, and theyâre woozy. They donât know where they are or how they got here. Katsuki, in his ghostly form, takes a look around the room and sits down next to them.
âShould I try to fight? Or should I wait for someone to save me?â the child asks him.
Katsuki doesnât answer right off the bat.
âWho knows youâre gone right now?â
The child thinks about it for a moment
âNo one.â They admit. âMy parents are on a trip. Itâs summer. I have a friend- maybe they noticed- but they might just think Iâm busy.â
Katsuki nods, his eyes are tired, so very tired, but he doesnât lower his head. He meets the ghostly childâs gaze head on.
âYouâre gonna have to fight kid. Thereâs no one coming to save you.â
The child looks away, but they nod, understanding. Everyone else is fucking horrified, how could Katsuki say that to a child? But he doesnât fail the trial. Not then, and not as it progresses through scene after scene. Katsuki keeps the child moving forward, with straight, practical advice, and that one core idea.
Thereâs nobody coming to save them. He canât save them. They have to save themself.
The child comes to a balcony, and thereâs no way out but to jump. A raging ocean below them, the angry kidnappers behind the doors. Katsuki is standing beside them as they stare out over the ocean, to the distant shore.
âI donât know if I can swim that far.â
âIf you jump, youâre gonna hafta.â
The child looks out for a moment longer before turning to look up at Katsuki. This time, thereâs something different in their eyes, something final, as they stand on the edge of the abyss.
âWhat did you do?â
And thatâs the moment when it clicks together for everyone else, horror looming over them. Katsuki only snorts.
âMe? I jumped and I never looked back.â
The kid nods, and then all of the sudden theyâre different. They are not just any child anymore. Theyâre a younger Katsuki. Wearing the same clothes he was wearing that day, an outfit that Izuku remembers Katsuki used to love until one day he didnât. And he never knew why until-
Until now.
âOkay.â
Katsukiâs voice is high pitched, but it still his as he nods. That was the key it seemed. The scene fades out, and itâs just the two of them left standing there. The trial has been passed. They both know it has been, but theyâre given a moment longer. Itâs the younger one who speaks first.
âIn the end, we made it home, right?â
âFuck yeah we did.â
âBut- I remember- I promised. Some day I would strong enough- strong enough that theyâd never be able to take me again.â
The older Katsukiâs momentary surge of pride falters, his eyes falling.
âDoes it get better? Does it stop? If I just keep going- if I keep swimming- if I get strong, then will it be enough?â
That takes a much longer time for Katsuki to answer, and he heaves a sigh.
âNot any time soon. I still remember this one. It wasnât the worst one, not by a longshot. This was just the first time. Thereâs gonna be more. They fucking suck.â
âBut it gets better? Right? It has to?â
Red eyes look away before he takes in a deep breath, resummoning his courage and looking back.
âGod I fucking hope so. Iâm fucking trying. But so far- well I canât say it stops. Who knows though, maybe the last one really was the last one. But I thought that two years ago too, and look where that got me.â
His child self looks down, kicking his little feet. Katsuki remembers those sneakers. They were ruined after this.
âIf I donât know if it gets better, then why bother?â
Itâs a loaded question. Katsuki knows the answer to this one though, he doesnât hesitate. Itâs whatâs kept him going all these years.
âListen, when it comes down to it, youâve got two options. You can keep swimming for shore, or you can let yourself sink. And who knows, maybe youâll never actually get to the shore. Maybe youâre going to be stuck in this ocean forever. But if you let yourself drown, youâve got no chance of getting out. If you keep swimming, thereâs a chance. Dunno how good the odds are, dunno how much further it is, dunno if Iâm strong enough to make it. Iâm gonna keep swimming though, because if there is even a chance of me making it out of this, then Iâm going to go after it with everything Iâve fucking got. Thatâs the only real option.â
Thereâs a pause, and Katsukiâs gaze is firm, but not unsympathetic. Itâs hard. He knows it is.
âBesides, Iâm not going to just give up and let those bastards win. Katsuki Bakugou isnât a fucking quitter, you got that kid?â
And his child self gives him a smile and a nod, and both are real, even if little red eyes are still watery and the smile is weak at best.
âGot it. Loud and clear.â
The scene is back. Theyâre on the balcony again.
No more words, thereâs none left for them to say.
Just a quickly exchanged look, a nod. And the child is jumping off to the dangerous ocean depths below. Katsuki watches, face carefully blank.
The quirk shatters when he hits the water, everyone being freed at once. Katsuki wakes up the most violently of any of them, gasping for air that takes him too long to find. Theyâre worried, theyâre so worried, but he brushes them off.
Itâs not the time to be worried. Itâs the time to keep swimming forward until they reach shore. And then heâll handle the rest of this shit.
After all, if he doesnât, then heâd have no chance at all. Thatâs just not a fucking option.
Me waking up and making a proper post on Tumblr for the first time in months:
As much as I love Karma and Rio, they should have been told off more and Nagisa should have shouted at them for making his trauma into a massive joke.
i remember i once heard this dude question if maybe the reason god kicked man out of the garden of eden wasn't to punish us, but so that our knowledge of good and evil would *matter*, we'd need firsthand experience with suffering to TRULY understand why making others suffer is wrong
but in a way that kinda put us a step above god, who is a being of lawful morality but had never suffered himself. (the guy also proposed that maybe part of god WANTED us to surpass him, that's why he made us. that's why he put the fruit so close within reach.)
god knew his law, but had never suffered or felt the consequences of his law. so that's why he thought flooding the earth or condemning people to hell was fine.
the dude left off there but it got me thinking about the crucifixion. because that's when god DID suffer. and after he suffered, he granted us mercy.
i never understood the idea that hw had to sacrifice himself to pay off a debt that we owed HIM and that HE decided the punishment for. why not just wave his hands and say we're forgiven?
but the implications of this. the crucifixion didn't redeem *us*, didn't make us worthy of mercy. no, it redeemed *god*, taught him how to GIVE mercy.
and idk to what extent i believe this interpretation, or how much i even believe the book it's based on. but wow is that interpretation weirdly freeing to consider, after a lifetime of being told that all that suffering was my fault
Your dom taking full advantage of your oral fixation and training you to be able to take their full size. Starting you off with a small dildo seeing how much you can take and slowly working you up to taking their actual size. Cooing gently as they held you in their arms and pushing the toy further down your throat. âThis is what you wanted isnât it baby? To have something in your mouth? Itâs pathetic you think you can take daddy if you canât take a simple toyâ
