jungkook snorted as he watched you try to keep yourself up, your head almost falling on the open books spread across your table.

"baby," he called, causing you to jolt up. "huh?" you mumbled, rubbing your sleepy eyes. "why don't you come to bed, hm? you can barely keep yourself up."

you shook your head, picking up a pencil to write your notes. "i have to study for this exam." jungkook chuckled as he watched you write down random words in your textbook instead of your notebook.

"you were studying all day, y/n. i think you've studied enough." you shook your head. "it's criminal law, kookie."

jungkook made his way towards you, placing his hands on your shoulders. "i know it's criminal law, but you need to sleep. i'm sure all the studying you did throughout the day is enough." he leaned forward to close the open books.

"but-" "no buts, y/n. i want you to be able to focus during the exam." you whined as he helped you off the chair. "now, let's get you to bed." you lazily followed as jungkook led you to your room, feeling glad that you had decided to shower and change before studying.

you tried to keep yourself up, hoping to sneak out of bed and go back to your books when jungkook fell asleep, but you couldn't. not with the amount of warmth and comfort he provided with arms wrapped around your form.

"just go to sleep, love. there's no need to stress about this exam. I'm sure you'll do well." jungkook whispered as he ran his fingers through your hair.

"but...studying..." he giggled at how you could barely finish a sentence. your eyes eventually fluttered shut, and you allowed yourself to drift off to your dreamland.

"sleep well, baby." he whispered as he placed a kiss on your forehead before allowing himself to sleep as well.

You barely registered the dialogue from the film currently playing on your television, with your boyfriend being far too distracting beside you.

Not that he was doing anything except sitting there. That’s exactly what he was doing.

But the flicker of the television shone a light on him that made him your main focus, not so subtly nuzzling your cheek into the couch cushion behind you for a proper view.

His doe eyes enlarged as they concentrated on the screen in front of him, eyebrows cutely knit together as he tried to follow the plot.

His plush cheeks seemed irresistibly kissable at this point, causing you to use every last ounce of self control to not dive forward and smush your lips to the pillowy skin.

Shifting closer to your boyfriend, your eyes nonchalantly floated over to the spot where the smoothness of his cheek was briefly interrupted, the result of his childhood argument with his brother.

The groove in his skin was just as smooth as the rest of his face, the man’s eyes peeking over at you in amusement as you traced along the mark with a light press of your fingertip.

Smirking at your gentleness, he quickly transformed his face into a cringe, grunting in feigned pain causing you to quickly retract your hand.

“Ow.” He hissed, unable to stop the snort that escaped his nose when you jolted away from him at his pained reaction.

Catching onto his act, your mouth fell open with a gasp of his name, sitting back into the couch and rolling your eyes at both his bratty behavior and the way you’d fallen for it.

“I’m sorry baby, just-“ he wiped at the tears building in his eyes, “why would that have hurt me?” He barely got his words out through the laughter bubbling up in his throat, only intensifying as you huffed and moved to the opposite side of the couch from him.

“You’re such a jerk sometimes.” You couldn’t help but let your lips quirk up in a small smile in response to his laughter, letting him tug you into his lap with a small tug on your wrist.

“I love you, though.”

You've gone through a break-up many times in your life, but this one was far more painful than the last. And crying was never your thing, but here you were crying in your best friend's arms because of your cheater of an ex-boyfriend.

"Ssh, it's going to be okay, love," Taehyung whispered as he ran his fingers through your hair, gently patting your back. "He's not worth your tears, y/n."

"I know he isn't, but I can't help it, Tae," you whispered, whipping your wey nose. Your tears were still rapidly rolling down your cheeks, and a sob left your mouth.

Taehyung let out a sigh as he pulled your body closer to his, tightening his hold around your body. Taehyung hated seeing you like this. He hated it when you'd go around dating jerks who would only cause you pain and confusion. He hated how all he could do was watch because no matter how many times he tried to warn you, you wouldn't listen.

"Is there something wrong with me, Tae?" you asked, your voice barely audible. "Am I not likeable or loveable?" "There's nothing wrong with you, love," he mumbled.

"You're a very likeable person, y/n," he tried to reassure as he rubbed your back. "If I am, then why is it that none of my relationships seem to work out? I mean, if you dated so many people and all of them either cheated or fell out of love them surely I'm the problem." You muttered, but Taehyung was able to make out your words. "You're not the problem, y/n. they are."

He hated it when you'd blame yourself, thinking there was something wrong with you or that simply weren't good enough.

'I wish you could see yourself the way I see you,' he thought to himself as he continued to run his fingers through your hair.

The sound of your soft humming filled the quiet room. You looked to your side to see your boyfriend, who was resting his head on the table, dozing off. You shook your head and smiled, grabbing a pen and gently pulling a piece of paper from under his arm.

“hmm?” he hummed at the sudden movement. “You shouldn’t be dozing off, love. You’re supposed to be studying.” You looked at the paper, reading through the notes Taehyung jotted down earlier.

You began to doodle little pictures on the corners of the page. Writing little reminders like ‘remember to drink lots of water’ or 'you can do it! i believe in you, love.’

You looked back at him, noticing that he hadn’t moved from his sleeping position. Giggling, you switched to a marker. “I’m going to draw on your perfect face if you don’t wake up, Tae,” you playfully threatened, taking the cap off the marker and slowly moving closer to his face.

“y/n…” he mumbled. “hmm?” “Please let me sleep,” he whispered, slightly opening his eyes to look at you. “If I do. You’re going to regret it later, Tae,” you warned, and he softly smiled. “Let me regret it.”

“Okay, I’ll just watch you sleep. I can stare at you for hours anyway.” You laid on your arms, resting in a position similar to his.

Taehyung chuckled before reaching to take your hand in his, lacing your fingers together. “Creep.”

Taehyung closed his eyes again, letting himself doze off again. You softly smiled and shut your eyes, this time with you falling asleep with him.
