His movies were a massive and important part of my childhood. Sometimes, they were the only thing that ever made me laugh.

I kind of agree. Do you?

Okay, here's the thing. You're auditioning for a movie. They're looking for specific people with specific looks. If you don't fit those requirements, then you don't get hired. Simple.
This is what happened to Naz Humphreys when she auditioned for a part as an extra in the upcoming movie, The Hobbit. The difference between her and other extras who didn't get a part is that she ran to the press and set up a facebook group
I honestly don't understand what she's complaining about.
She went for a job, didn't have what they were looking for and got rejected. Tough shit, but that's life. If you're auditioning for a movie, then you will get judged in your looks, and that includes your skin colour. This isn't racism - this is what happens when you try to break into films, or any area where your looks are front and centre.
I really hate it when people pull the race card for stupid stuff.
And before anyone screams at me, I'd just like to point out that I'm not white. I'm a MAC NC40.
