I imagine Vanessa being someone that genuinely believes that she is hated by everyone, that she’s only good for being manipulated to be someone’s puppet and to kill. Never to make someone happy, make someone laugh, comfort someone, etc.

Now she knows that is absolutely not the case.

In universe, I imagine it’s the 3 star fam celebrating the one year anniversary of when they became a family, and she learned that she had a true purpose in life. And that she does have people that loves her.

In the real world, this represents her fans

A year ago today, the Vanessaverse Discord server came online, and now with a growing community of over 100+ members, I can safely say.. she is definitely loved.

As for me, I only joined back in late January, and already this place as changed my life. The people I’ve met, the friends I’ve made, have all made me feel at home in a place I can truly be myself, and be fully accepted without the fear of being turned away.

To my friends I’ve made, to the server as a whole, thank you for giving me a place I can be safe, be free, and be happy. Here’s to one year of loving and admiring our favorite security guard together! 💜🥂🎂

I’m not sure why but I feel like Vanessa is one of those people who feels like people don’t like her when in reality she’s extremely hard to hate 😅.

Guess what? After the unparalleled success of Vanweek2024, I have decided to hold a mini event in order to celebrate Vanessa's commonly agreed upon birthday of September 7th.

It will run from September 5th thru the 7th!

The rules for this week are practically identical to Vanweek for the most part. There are several different prompts everyday, but you DO NOT have to do them all.

In fact, you DO NOT have to try and do a prompt everyday if you do not want to. If you want to make something for just 1 day, that is perfectly fine. Feel free to do whatever you would like with the prompts. The only thing each creation needs to have is Vanessa/Vanny!

This event, like the last one, is meant to be a fun experience for all involved, which means that works should try not to include anything considered taboo. If your work includes any phobias or extreme gore, PLEASE be sure to tag appropriately.

You are also not restricted to doing just art or writing, other mediums are allowed.

When you do make something, be sure to include the day it is for as well as whether it's for the WORD or THEME in the tags or description. This will make archival and future viewing of these works easier.

Be sure to tag your work (if possible) with "vanessabirthday2024" and tag this account @vanweek2024

Also try not to release whatever you've made until the respective "day" (i.e. release a story made for day 2 on day 2, no later, no earlier)

Any work released on AO3 will be archived on this collection as well.

Hi again (I’ve been posting questions to you a lot lately 😅) but i recently started realizing the in universe game studio that Vanessa works at: Silver Parasol has a White rabbit mascot on its logo and with the Vanny mask and everything it got me thinking is it possible that before glitchtrap and before the pizzaplex Vanny started out as just a simple Mascot Character. I also noticed how the silver parasol rabbit is wearing blue like how Vanny wears a blue ribbon, what do you think.

It is certainly a possibility. Personally, I have never put much thought into how Vanny came up with the design of her suit. I suppose your idea could work, or maybe it could be something from Vanessa's past, like a childhood doll. Like I said, good idea though.

A fun little headcanon I like to do for fnaf is Vanessa is a huge nerd/dork when it comes to anything Fazbear related, she’s super curious and has a habit of geeking out when she gets excited about something, a hobby that she’s extremely into is Arts and Crafts, in my AU Vanessa has been visiting the pizzaplex ever since she was 13 years old and she’s extremely close to all the animatronics, Freddy is like her animatronic guardian, she gets along well with Bonnie, Chica is her favorite, she thinks Foxy is cool, she loves hanging with Roxanne, she likes Montgomery, she loves listening to all of Dj Music Mans tunes and she always enjoys spending time with the daycare attendan. Vanessa first visited the pizzaplex when her mother brought her for her 13th birthday to try and cheer her up, at first she wasn’t into it but once she got to know the animatronics they basically became her animatronic family, it was Freddy specifically who helped her during hard times.

That is a very interesting idea. I also agree Chica would be her favorite, and not just because they share the same voice actor.

Question if I may: what’s your headcanon for Vanessa’s backstory/childhood, if you have one.

I know in the games it’s indicated she had a pretty bad childhood and a terrible dad in her therapy sessions but I like to give her a different backstory.

Personally, I gave her a completely normal childhood with no abuse whatsoever. At some point in her early adulthood, her parents would die in some accident. I attributed the bad childhood mentioned in the tapes to Glitchtrap messing with her mind.
