David Tennant as Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing (production from 2011) but in cartoon style. He is wearing a Superman t-shirt & is covered in white paint, on his face a wide grin. He has hearts in his eyes and is surrounded by a lot of different pink heart emojis, much like in some memes.

Do it for him ✨️

(I spend way longer on this than I'd like to admit. Time to release him to the public)

(also it's the first time I ever wrote an alt text. I hope I did okay. pls tell me if not)

Hello. Based on your "Please Reblog This If It’s Okay To". Do you have a favourite fic you've written?

Thank you for asking!

My current favorite is The Purple Spider's Web, a multichapter MDZS fic that gives my ideas about Madam Yu's backstory and why her marriage with Jiang Fengmian is so bad. It's long, and I wrote it quickly with minimal editing because I figured no one was going to read it anyway, so probably in 6 months, I'll be so ashamed of it that I'll delete it. But right now, I'm pretty happy with it.

I've always been fond of The Spirit that Unites Them, which is mostly RPF about the medieval English king Richard II, his French princess child second wife, Isabella (who he treated like a daughter or little sister), and his cousin's son, Henry (called Hal in Shakespeare), who later became Henry V and honored Richard's memory. Re-reading it, I hate that I wrote it in present tense, which I generally don't like, I was giving it a try back then.

The basic idea is that Richard (who became king when he was just 10 years old) loved his first wife, Anne of Bohemia, very much, but they could never have children. There is some evidence they were having trouble conceiving and that Anne might have had at least one miscarriage.

He was devastated when she died. He later married the 6-year old daughter of the King of France to cement an alliance with France. He later banished his cousin, Henry, for stirring up shit, and basically took Hal hostage. That ended when his dad deposed, imprisoned, and starved Richard to death, and crowned himself Henry IV. But Hal seems to have thought well of Richard, and gave him a better burial after he became king.

So I like to think that Richard kind of turned both these kids into substitutes for his own kids.

This is my most "popular" fic: One Founding Father Who Fancied the Doctor and One Who Didn't.

It's a silly Hamilton-Doctor Who crossover based on a throwaway line in a Doctor Who episode called The Impossible Astronaut. It made me laugh at the time, but now it's a little embarrassing. But everything Doctor Who is always a little embarrassing. It just comes with the territory when you're a Whovian, so ultimately, I'm happy with it still. And I can't delete it because it still seems to appeal to a handful of very specific fans.

Someone today will read Shakespeare’s hamlet and say omg he’s just like me fr. Another person will read moby dick and proclaim Ishmael as an adhd king.

A person grieving for their recently deceased lover reads the iliad and they watch as Achilles rages and rages and god how righteous anger fueld by love is so devastating that it’s ramifications still affect the world several thousand years later.

We might one day settle down and read the epic of gilgamesh and watch as a king has to accept the death of the person he loved the most. One of the very first stories ever written and it was about coping with death, and how to grieve.

We don’t read classics because they’re old, we read them because they remind us that we are never alone. That a character created over 500 years ago struggled with the exact same problems we all still have today. That even a king from centuries past had to deal with death just like me. That’s what makes stories so powerful–they prove to us that we are never truly alone in what we are feeling.

yeah you’re in love you’re soulmates sure sure but are you metrically linked so that your lines are paired with the others so intrinsically by the way you are spoken and only are truly whole and seen as you’re meant to be when you’re acknowledged as a continuation of each other

Yeah Youre In Love Youre Soulmates Sure Sure But Are You Metrically Linked So That Your Lines Are Paired
