Like this lady went from pessimist loser ex-cop private eye, scruffy, hopeless and a little smitten with a certain thief to depressed but more distinguished yet destructive, heart broken government private eye with a hero complex to ‘goddamn it i want to live’ scruffy private eye, to ‘bearing wet wounds to you with wet eyes’ learning to be emotionally competent without loosing the goofy pouty nature, and being able to healthily love with structure to ‘i always get my man’ level of determination and being able to accept Nereyev had a whole life before him like season one Juno could never (no offence just character development).

And finally recently, actualising the fact he wants to live for himself and being able to effectively communicate with Nereyev how stupid the whole martyrdom is, cause he’s been there and he knows and it’s a direct parallel to the martian tomb arc.
