Random 4 am thought that someone’s probably mentioned before, but you know that sad scene from Coco where the guy just sadly disappears and when Miguel asks what happened, no one actually knows?
Well what if because he has no more living relatives who remember him, he doesn’t have to stay in the land of the dead? There is no one left to be sad for him on earth, and he has no one to visit from the living anymore, so what if he can just start anew? He disappeared so he can be reborn and live again and be surrounded by a whole other family who will love and cherish him, so when he passes away once more, he has people who will remember him again as well as family in the land of the dead.
This is such a weird thought for the middle of the night lol, but thinking about this makes watching the scene a whole less sad for me now.
