hi Tumblr I live

I was too sick to think for a few years but I'm gradually regaining the strength to think Large Writing Thoughts and I'm happily picking at a rough draft yay! I'm reworking my Stories of Aligare so the world is even softer and weirder and queer-er than ever. The new project name will be Our Long-Steeped Remedies. The deaths will be toned waaaaaay down and the formerly ant-like people are now gentle vegetarian spiders.

You know what else? I like "sweetweird" as a descriptor. Building happiness in the face of a frightening, confusing world? Refusing to answer cruelty with more cruelty? Centering friendship and kindness? Yes. I think my writing has always been a bit sweetweird. More of this in the world, please.

A little shout-out to the writers who passionately adore writing original fiction with their whole heart and soul to the point of obsession but have no interest in Doing a Conventional Publishing (trad or mainstream self-pub) about it and happily share our writing in other ways.

All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a Thousand Enemies, and whenever they catch you, they will kill you. Be cunning and full of tricks and your people shall never be destroyed.

whether this is giant ones smashing banks or small ones cyberbullying entrepreneurs, its good and healthy for them

Please remember this if you're planning on getting a pet dragon! Too many people think it's enough to simply give them a pile of coins and a dark lair to put them in. Remember, not giving your dragon the enrichment they need could very well lead to an out of control house fire, no matter their size!

I wish there was more representation of disabilities and chronic illness in fantasy, science fiction and action genres.

Not just a side character with 30 seconds of screentime. An important character that doesn't just exist to further the storylines of other characters. I want a character that doesn't get "cured" or healed. A character that stays disabled and/or chronically ill. A character that isn't afraid to ask for help. One that doesn't think they're a burden and doesn't try to hide their disability/ chronic illness.

I want to see how it affects them, not just know they're disabled/chronically ill and it jist never gets mentioned again. I don't mean it should be their entire personality but being disabled and or chronically ill can affect many parts of life.

I just wish there was more representation of disabilities and chronic illness that shows every part of it. Especially in fantasy and science fiction it's lacking.

I'm here on this account to let people know!! that I am posting my cozy fantasy stories on a Neocities so people can just read them for free if they want!! it'll be like a serial fiction thing, I'll put up more chapters and short stories once in a while. Got a few chapters of my first book, Remedy, posted now. It's a character-focused medical drama set in a human-free fantasy world. A kind-hearted pandemic story set among dragons, weasels and bug people who have disabilities and trauma, and they use their varied skills and magical abilities to help each other.
