Cannot stress this enough, but gaming spaces are so sooo vulnerable to anti-black, anti-asian, and anti-queer rhetoric, it isn’t even funny, I know y’all see someone making fun of things and think “hahah, that’s hilarious, I think that too”, and I hate to break it to you, but that was the point, the person who’s trying to embed it in you knows about your biases and knows exactly how to word things to get you to not see that it’s bc of your biases. These are the same ppl in your mom’s Facebook group trying to get her to repeat Republican hate speech to her friends at her book club.

I should not have to see Reddit posts with thousands of upvotes of ppl shitting on a toddler sim bc she’s wearing edges that aren’t textured in the same way the ones are in game. I don’t care if you think it’s funny, it’s been co-opted by all the wrong people with only the illest intentions, and the marginalized ppl, esp black ppl within these communities are dealing with the same bs they have to irl, in spaces where they SHOULD NOT HAVE TO.
