One day, Y/N suddenly remembered and opened her C.C. account, and saw that someone by the name 'Ethan' confessed to her three years ago.

"Noona?" You flinched, not expecting someone to see you, at least not someone familiar. You slowly turned around, laughing awkwardly when you met Niki's gaze who was now obviously confused. "Why are you hiding there— woah!" Before he can finish his question, your hands automatically pull him down to squat and hide beside you.

You shushed him like a kid, gesturing with your finger on your lips, which the young man mirrored. Both of you peek in the direction of the dorm, you in with the hope that heeseung didn't see that, and for Niki who's just curious and excited about what the two of you are going to do.

Then, as if life wanted some drama, the gate opened. Heeseung walked outside, dressed casually. He looks good in his all-black ensemble. Black sweatpants and a simple black shirt partnered with a black cap. Fortunately, he didn't see you as his eyes were fixated on some sort of paper in his eyes while smiling relentlessly.

What is in the paper that makes you smile like this, heeseung?

Then, the next thing you heard was a gasp from the boy beside you. The same sound made you come back to reality. Oh, you forgot Niki's here too. Shit.

"What?" You nonchalantly asked the boy whose eyes are now staring widely at you with his hand covering his mouth. Talk about being dramatic, just like his hyung.

"Noona, don't tell me... you're stalking heeseung hyung?!"

You clicked your tongue, looking offended before gently hitting his finger that he points at you. "I'm not a stalker, okay? I just want to know the truth!"

"I don't know, noona. This a very stalker-ish behavior for me" He replied keeping his voice in check while both of you followed heeseung from afar. "What 'truth' do you mean, anyway?" You were about to answer, or, even rant but then realized that Niki is part of heeseung's circle. Of course, he knew something.

"What?" He asked when you suspiciously looked at him.

"You know something, didn't you?"

"Like what, noona?"

"Like, who's the person heeseung likes? or—" Or, if he's the one giving me gifts?

Of course, Niki knows. It's you, duh. One thing he doesn't get is why grownups make things complicated. He will never fall in love, he thought. As for you, you don't need to know that he knows. Where's the excitement with that, right? "Noona, believe me, or not, I know nothing. The hyungs keep my nose out with that topic because apparently, I'm too young for that." He answered, quoting the last words with his fingers before shrugging.

Nothing's bad with a little white lie, right? Well, some of it was true anyways. Since something's telling him that his hyungs are hiding something from him these days. Niki was just lucky because he can keep and act cool compared to his hee hyung, making it believable to you.

"So.. will you tell heeseung?" Your voice was low, slowly asking without looking at him. You need to look out for heeseung because what if you two lost him. Luckily for you, the boy in question was in his own world.

Niki gasped. Now, he's the one who feel offended "No, of course not! I ain't a snitch, noona" You chuckled, patting his head. "Alright, don't worry. I'll treat you with some bungeoppang later to make it up to you" The boy looked at you, face asking 'how did you know?'. You smiled, "Heeseung mentioned it last time. Now, come on. We might lose him.

After a few steps, you realized heeseung was on the way to a grocery store. He came inside and both, you and Niki did the same too. Heeseung grabbed different things on different shelves around the store which is a usual routine to do.

"Noona, I don't think hee hyung was doing something fishy. He might just want to help jay hyung with picking the groceries" Niki whispered as both of you observed the black-haired man reading the label of milk on the other side of the aisle. Heeseung then put out his phone as if he just received a message before typing on it.

Don't tell me that I got caught by your friend, labeled as a stalker, and walked like 10km away from my own dorm for this, heeseung?

You were about to give up and walk away when your phone suddenly rang, both you and Niki flinched at the sound. Your hands instantly put out your phone, frantically tapping the reject button.

'Why does Heeseung calling you right now?'

But then, the screen froze, leaving the phone constantly ringing with you still unable to decline the call. And, as if heaven heard your desperate call, the sound stops causing you to be relieved.

"N-noona..." Niki called from your side, why does he sound nervous though? You look up, hoping Heeseung didn't hear it even though deep inside you know he did. The sound was loud enough for people across you to look. Your eyes tried to find him but he was nowhere to be seen.

"What are you two doing here?" Heeseung's voice echoed from behind, and swear, you don't want to turn around and face the man. It was embarrassing.

"Y/N?" He called again and that's your cue, you slowly turned around meeting Heeseung's eyes. "What are you doing here? At this hour? And with, Niki at that?" The boy beside you groaned, "What the heck, hyung? You make it sounds like I'm the bad influence on noona." Heeseung didn't reply though he jokingly grimaced, his eyes still on you.

You laughed, maybe a bit louder than you intended to while your hands slowly reached your nape. Your eyes awkwardly peek at Heeseung, but you can't cope with how intensely he stares at you. He was not angry though, just surprised. Maybe you just can't handle the fact that you were caught tailing him. Wait, he shouldn't know that you were following him.

"O-oh hi, Heeseung! I just um— taking Niki on a date... yeah, when I bumped into him earlier..." You tip your feet, trying to hook your right arm on Niki's shoulder but it failed. Why is this boy so tall, anyways?! Fortunately, Niki knew how to play along. He silently squats closer to the ground making his height identical to yours before nodding and smiling at his hyung.

Heeseung was obviously weirded out at the stunt both you and Niki pulled, he was about to open his mouth when you cut him off afraid of what he'll say. "A-and, we certainly don't know that you're here! Like, for real!"

The man was surprised at your sudden outburst but decided to let it go. "Right.." He replied dragging the sound, "But, y/n. Sunoo was worried about you, he texted awhile ago asking if you were with me since you haven't come home since our class earlier."

Oh, so Sunoo's the one who texted him. "Is that why you called me?" Heeseung nodded, "Wait for me here, I'll just pay for my things then I'll get you home" He said turning around to the cashier.

"What? Wait, heeseung, no! I still need to take niki out on a date. You can go ahead, we're—"

"Okay. Then, let's take him out on a date"

"What?" You ask, brain not completely processing his words yet. Who takes who on a date?

Heeseung turned around, his face moving closer to yours, causing you to step back. "You heard me, let's take Niki out on a date... together" You heard Niki snort from behind but Heeseung's face was just a few inches away from yours that you can't even scold the young one. This man is causing an internal dilemma and he didn't even know that his presence affects you effectively.

He observed you for a few seconds then smiled before standing again, "Now, wait for me. I'll pay for this and ask Hoon to pick it up."

When Heeseung was a few steps away, you dramatically inhaled as if he was the one who cut off your air supply when he suddenly pulled that stunt.

"Is that really necessary?!"

"Nice one, hyung." Niki mumbled still laughing while you tried compose yourself. "Isn't it hot here?" You asked niki while fanning yourself with your hand.

Niki just shrugged, "Noona, you're red" He pointed out.

"I am not!"

"You are!"

"Stop, or no bungeoppang for you later"

"Fine. But you're still red"

"Niki?!" You whispered helplessly not knowing the man who was the reason of your suffering heard it all alright. Heeseung can't help but smile as he walks toward the cashier. Things turn unexpectedly but it seems like luck was on his side.

'It's way too early for this' heeseung thought rolling his eyes as he hid his phone on his right pocket while doing the best he can to ignore the fact that you've been staring at him for like 30 minutes straight now.

What did I do? That's the question that plague his mind. Are you angry at him? Did he do something wrong? There's gotta be an acceptable reason for you to stare at him like that, right? He tried to play it cool by sending soft smiles on your way but nothing fazed you. As a matter of fact, you didn't even tried to hide the fact that you're practically gawking at him.

Should I be nervous? He thought again, shifting his weight from left to right obviously in discomfort and overthinking things. This morning, instead of sitting behind you like he did last time, Heeseung sat a few rows on the right side, positioning himself diagonally away from you.

Jay thought it would be best to block all the 'distractions' (and that includes you) while he receive cooking lessons from him. And, heeseung couldn't agree more knowing he's a complete fool and a nervous wreck.

Not to mention, he'll willingly bend in front of you if that's what you want. Just think if it. What if, god forbid, he suddenly spill his plan on confessing to you using food as an excuse? That would wreck all his dreams and hard work to confess in the most perfect way the world would ever allow him to do.

If it's another scenario, maybe heeseung don't mind that you're indeed staring at him. Maybe he'll stare back, using the 'staring contest' as an excuse to study your features. Writing mental notes about what shaped your eyes are, how soft your lips looked and must've felt like, how cute you nose. Heck, he'll even note how you softly bite your lips whenever you're focus doing something. Bet he can keep the list going. That's how bad heeseung is down for you, so if it is a simple day, maybe heeseung wouldn't mind.

But no, right now? he do mind it. How can he not when you're looking at him, not with a loving eyes as he hope so but a look that can be called nothing but judgemental?

Another scrutinizing ten minutes of his life passed just by waiting for the class to start, and with you still gawking at him, heeseung can't help but to dramatically gasped for the much needed breathe of relief when he felt your eyes leaving him when the door finally opened that made all the people inside the room look in one direction. But, instead of a man in his late 50s like y'all expected to see, Ryujin was the one who invade your visions.

She quietly go inside, walking directly in front of the teacher's table ensuring everyone's attention is on her.

"Listen, they had teacher's meeting so no class for today—" The tuition-driven students erupt in series of excited shouts but Ryujin was adamant to stop it. "BUT!" the whole room fell into silent, "... but, mr. choi said that we should all go to our respective partners assigned for the midterm project and use the remaining time to finish it. The deadline was still due later this week, no exceptions."

Groaned was heard all across the room, but despite the complains, people started to stand and walked to their partners anyways. Whilst heeseung was the only one to froze on his seat, he doesn't know why he's so nervous to face you. Maybe it's because there's something on the way you give the 'look' that screams danger for him. Maybe he'll just run?

Though, before the man can even come up with an answer. He heard your voice, calling his name softly. "Heeseung..." Nevermind, he loves you anyways. Nothing's going to change about that.

He took time to calm down before turning his head to look at you who was now signalling for him to come. Heeseung did exactly what he was told. Taking the seat beside you with such amenable behavior. Fear not, you wouldn't need to say it twice and heeseung would definitely do it nonetheless.

The man in question awkwardly shifted his weight away from you though keeping his smile intact in hopes to distract your doubts. It was a failed endeavour, by the way as heeseung distinctively saw your eyes squinting on how weird he's acting right now.

Shit.

"So, i guess it's safe to say that procrastination didn't win?" Heeseung nodded, avoiding your eyes under the guise of observing his surroundings. "Chilling feels good knowing you finished the task early while seeing your classmates still doing something" He added, as heeseung felt himself slowly calming down. His instinct took over and the next thing he knew, his body automatically scoot closer to you. Funny how his eyes want to run away from yours though his body said otherwise.

"By the way, I need to ask you something, heeseung..." Nope. False hope. The nerves are back. He was busy panicking inside that he didn't even noticed how careful you choose your words, scared that one wrong word was enough to scare him away.

"Ask away" Heeseung's voice came out normal but it didn't came unnoticed on how it trailed off specially on the last part. You didn't replied or fired the question immediately just like what he hoped so. It was more like, you weren't so sure what you'll ask... or, if you still want to ask the question running amock through mind.

After a few seconds, you brave to finally start "Do you like someone?" Now, it's his time to think. Not that heeseung was doubting his feelings. He's just torn between saying yes or just denying it until he finally and officially confess. Ah, whatever. Whatever happens, happens.

"I do"

"Do you love giving them gifts?" You ask again, now, chasing after his eyes. Heeseung nervously gulped before silently nodding, afraid that his voice would betray him. "I'm not really good with words..." Of course, he isn't. If he did, he should've said that he like you a long time ago. It was long overdue.

"So, I tend to give them gifts to uh— make them feel special"

"Like flowers?" The bell rang, cutting you off. Heeseung was now celebrating mentally. He need to be away from you, asap. "Oh, look at the time!" Heeseung proclaimed frantically looking at his wrist, not even realizing he doesn't wear a watch.

"I... uh— I have to go, y/n! I still have something to do." He immediately grabbed his things from the chair. Heeseung was about to walk away when your hand caught the hem of his shirt. You didn't need to speak, he knew what goes on in your mind.

And, before heeseung realize words came out like falls, nothing beats your innocent face looking up to him. It makes him want to do everything you want even without saying it.

"I have cook—" You raised your brow waiting for heeseung to continue by laughing dead ass awkward. Somehow, he sounds like a crow.

"I mean, I still have to cook layla's dog food. And, cook coffee... comb my hair, as well as, jake's and hoon's. So... I'll see you around, okay?" By the time, heeseung said the last reminder, his voice became soft. His hands gently and affectionately pat your head. Surely, he's the father to the butterflies fluttering inside your stomach.

"Be careful on your way home, hm?" Heeseung finally walked away, leaving you a blushing mess.

CURIOUS CAT - it's about time

SYNOPSIS! Curious Cat is an app that peaked three years ago where people use it to flirt with their crush anonymously and then suddenly forgot about it.

or wherein, Y/N was devastated when her crush, Lee Heeseung indirectly rejecting her in high school. Three years later, both of them have this unknown beef between them that even their friends don't know the real reason behind. One day, Y/N suddenly remembered and opened her C.C. account, and saw that someone by the name 'Ethan' confessed to her three years ago.

The door towards the library swung open, and Lee Heeseung, who was now sitting at the empty table at the corner not far from the said entrance, can't help but raise his head to look at the new visitor. Well, from the moment he took a seat, he would unconsciously look up every time he heard the screech that the glass door would make hoping it was you that finally came.

Life might be playing with him. Only three minutes have passed since he settles in and waits but Heeseung was sure there are more than ten people coming inside and every time they did open the door, he'll look up. An obvious action telling him that he can't wait to see you.

Heeseung unknowingly smiled at the thought, and before he knew it, the familiar screech was heard again.

He nonchalantly looked up, ready to accept that it was just another random person but then your presence invade his vision, and that obviously caused him to smile. You smiled back at him, waving your occupied hands that held two bottles of juices while the other one gently carried the familiar small paper bag while walking towards him.

"I'm sorry, Am I late?" You ask, putting your belongings down and finally sitting.

"No, I just got here... don't worry."

You hummed silently setting up your laptop and other things, "Oh, here. I fetch some juice on my way here. I know you said the food has been covered but it's good that we have extra."

Heeseung took the beverage gently from your hand but in the process, his brushed against yours albeit jiffy and you swear on Sunoo's mint choco ice cream that there's an electricity that flows inside your veins.

Sparks? There's no way they're real.

Fortunately, you managed to poise yourself by chuckling although it came out awkward.

"I see that you're not with your friends today"

"They're... uhh, busy... fortunately." Why am I getting anxious though? Still thinking about the flicker that you felt with or from Heeseung, your hands can't help but nervously rummage through your things hoping the man in front wouldn't notice that you're on edge.

Unluckily for you, Heeseung did.

How can he not? He always has his eyes on you. His friends noticed it, even people he doesn't know surely did, everyone notices it but you. Heeseung should be worried about your frame gradually shrinking from tense... (figuratively) but he can't. Not when he knew you were affected by him. It's cute.

Heeseung tried to hide his smile even though you can't really see it. He moved slowly while still keeping his eye on you, bringing both of his elbows on top of the table causing him to propped up before scooting closer to you.

"Fortunately? And why is that?" He asks whispering the question. And it might be an innocent little action because obviously, you two are inside the library and people should observe how loud their voice can be but the said stunt surprisingly made you shiver which kind of contradicts how hot your face suddenly felt even though the centralized air conditioner made the whole room freeze.

You laughed, "Do you think it's kind of hot in here?" Heeseung chuckled silently watching as you took your cardigan off and began to fan yourself with your hand.

"I don't know, I am cold..." He replied shrugging his shoulder to point to the jacket he was wearing, "Well, are you?"

Now, Heeseung can't hide his smile or rather he doesn't even try to hide his smile. And, then you get it.

This little shit. Doing innocent things just to rail you up. Why did it escape your thoughts that Heeseung doing 'innocent' things is not really an innocent thing?

You clicked your tongue, "Stop."

"What?"

"Doing that"

"Doing what?"

"Stop smirking!" You frustratingly yelled and automatically someone shushed you from the other table. The nerve this Lee Heeseung has. You apologetically said sorry before turning back to the perpetrator.

"Stop teasing me or else! You're like my friends sometimes, I swear. So annoying"

Heeseung silently chuckled, burying his smile and finally raising both of his arms as a sign that he was giving up. You looked at him for some time, ensuring he wouldn't do anything. And heeseung did that childish zipping mouth as an assurance that made you laugh.

"Oh, wait. I want to show you something!!!" You excitedly whispered. And the man you're with can't believe the sudden 180 change in your behavior, he finds it cute as always though. He's down bad, guys.

You grabbed the small paper bag and then gently opened it. Your hands then seized something inside pulling it to show to him.

"I came to fetch something on my locker this morning before coming here and this was already there. It was carefully tied on the doors and when I opened it... I saw the cutest thing ever!" Heeseung smiled at your excitement. Eyes sparkling as you coo-ed at the origami bouquet that he did.

"It's cute right?"

He pretended to be in doubt, looking at the flower and then back at you. "It is... but it's quite clumsy made, isn't it?" Shame on him. Why is he sabotaging himself? Maybe he just wanted to fish more of your compliment. Maybe, he is. What about it though

You dramatically gasped as if you got offended, "What are you saying? It's the most prettiest thing I've ever seen" Bingo. "It's the thoughts that count. It's the effort, you hear me? I bet this took hours to make."

Again, he can't control his smile. "You like it that much?"

"I love it so much" You replied with no hesitation. "It's so cute. I think I'm in love with them now."

That's his cue. As of now, Heeseung cannot be reached. He was far up high, floating on cloud 9 just from your words alone.

Seeing you treasure the paper bouquet that he did, made him feel queasy. You are right, it took him hours especially because it's the first time he did try to make one.

After Sunoo gave him his blessing. Heeseung spends the rest of the day thinking of a plan to make a move. Maybe it was no coincidence that he was slammed in the head with the origami book his brother had when it fell. He think he was unlucky but looking at it now, the book just made him the happiest man on earth.

Heeseung had doubts. He didn't know what he wanted to do regarding his feelings. Will he just suck it up and be content with whatever he had with you now, or will he take a risk to step his foot forward and closer to you? After seeing your reaction to what he thinks is the most simple thing he can offer, Heeseung now knew the answer.

"You're worth the risk..." He whispered looking at you.

"Hmm? Did you say something?" Heeseung smiled shaking his head.

It's about time for him to realize.
