Okay so I had a thought while thinking about Criminal Case (the video game)

Do you all realize the sheer amount of FUCKING TRAUMA our MC had to endure in their life? Like :

Early Life

- okay we know absolutely nothing, but I don't think they're mentally stable in the whole place because 1. I do what I want and 2. No one works their asses off like that if it weren't for loss of parents because of crime/inferiority complex/superiority complex/workaholism/ to distract from depression

Criminal Case

- when Jones is poisonned they nearly lost their BFF (David Jones is my all time fave and I will die on this hill)

- when Tess Goodwin hypnotised Jones. I felt personally traumatized by this because I got so attached to my bby David so WHEN HE POINTS A FUCKING GUN AT YOU AND IS SECONDS AWAY FROM KILLING YOU YOU ARE NOT OKAY AFTERWARDS

- the suicide of Chief King. First death of someone MC cared about. Probably had blood all over them. I will forever cry about this.

- the horrible realization that Grimsborough is utterly rotten to the core. Is sad and doesn't help the trauma

- the explosion of a suspect (Donald Byrd). Would most likely result in PTSD for MC

- Even if Chief King had a sorta good reason to join the Crimson Order, it's still betrayal (trust issues?)

Pacific Bay

- when Fredo Mancini tried to blow himself up at court and Hannah shot him, I'm pretty fucking sure it reminded them of both Byrd's explosion and King's suicide

- the betrayal of Duncan Young. I'm sure, but that's just a headcanon, that MC thinks that's what King could have become if he went the wrong way

- Mind controlling definitely remembered them of Jones' hypnosis

- THE FUCKING BETRAYAL OF FRANK. I'M STILL NOT OVER THIS. HE WAS MY 2ND FAVE. MC MUST DEFINITELY LOST ALL TRUST THEY HAD IN THE WORLD WHEN THEY REALIZED EVEN THEIR CLOSEST FRIEND IN ALL PACIFIC BAY BETRAYED THEM.

- FRANK'S DEATH. PRETTY SIMPLE WHY DID YOU DO THIS. I FUCKING SOBBED SO HARD THAT I HAD TO WAIT FOUR FULL DAYS BEFORE BEING ABLE TO INVESTIGATE THIS SCENE. WHY. FUCK YOU. WHY. AND YOU BRING HIM BACK IN A MESSAGE SAYING HE'S SORRY THAT HE PROBABLY DOESN'T DESERVE MY FORGIVENESS BUT HE THOUGHT HE WAS DOING THE RIGHT THING. AND AS IF THAT WASN'T ENOUGH, YOU BRING HIM BACK AGAIN IN HOLOGRAM TO SAY GOODBYE ONCE MORE. FUCK THAT. FUCK YOU. FUCK ALL OF YOU. I'M NOT OKAY.

Save The World

- again, Lars' poisoning is another reminder of what happened to Jones

- Jack's shooting is another uno card added to the pile of MC's trauma

- the poison grenade = fucking PTSD from Byrd's suicide

- MICHELLE'S DEATH WAS SO VIOLENT AND SURPRISING IT STOLE AIR FROM MY LUNGS WHEN I SAW IT

- ARMAND'S DEATH. WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT THAT. WHY DID THEY KILL MY FUNKY SWISS HISTORIAN. AND HE DIED IN THE HOSPITAL, PEACEFULLY, BUT WE HAD TO FUCKING WATCH. FUCK.

Mysteries of the Past

- listen I didn't cry but Judge Takakura's death was pretty sad

- CHARLIE'S DEATH. HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN WITH MADDIE AND THEIR BABY LIVING HAPPILY EVER AFTER. AGAIN, WHY DID THEY KILL MY FUNKY SWISS SCIENTIST. THEY GOT THE GRANDSON AND THAT WAS FUCKING ENOUGH.

- not traumatic but I just wanted to say that I yelled a cry of victory when Justin Lawson died. Fucking bastard got just what he deserved.

The Conspiracy

- NATHAN'S DEATH WAS SUDDEN AND HORRIBLE. WHY DO THEY KEEP DOING THIS.

- RUPERT'S DEATH. WHY CAN'T THE FUNKY SCIENTISTS BE HAPPY. FUCK.

- listen I felt so bad for Jones when Zoe was the killer. Maybe MC was the comforting one after this because they know what betrayal feels like

- I felt bad for Tony Marconi's death. Italian version of Flambeau RIP

- MIA'S DEATH WHY. I'm sure MC was also traumatized because they saw a younger version of themselves in her

- ZOE'S DEATH AND THE FOLLOWING CASE. I LITERALLY CRIED FOR AN HOUR AT THE END OF THIS. DAVID JONES FUCKING ATTEMPTED SUICIDE AND WAS REFUSING HELP WHEN IN THE HOSPITAL ASKING TO DIE. WHEN WAS IT EVER OKAY TO EVEN THINK ABOUT THAT, PRETTY SIMPLE. WHEN. LISTEN IF I DON'T GET THE SERIOUS TALK BETWEEN JONES AND MC AFTER THAT I AM GOING TO WRITE IT MYSELF.

- RITA'S DEATH. WHEN WILL IT STOP. WHEN WILL IT FUCKING STOP.

I was really not okay with this season overall

So I haven't played the next two seasons but be sure I will make additions when I'll finish them

Thats it I'm gonna re watch Edward Scissorhands
