Unpopular opinion: social movements do not belong on clothing.
Social movements are not fashion symbols or status icons. Being a feminist, anti-racist, pro-queer etc. should never be fashionable. It should be right, but it should be divorced from things that are fleeting and changing. Don’t marry your ideologies to things that are meant to shift with the seasons.
Also, how feminist is it to buy a shirt that says “feminist” on it? Was feminism enacted in every step of the shirt’s making? Do the women who make the shirt make a decent wage? Do the companies that source its materials do all they can to empower women? Does the fast fashion industry, with all its excess and waste, actually stand for social justice?

Casey sold off her WatchNao data before anything else. WatchNao was so deeply moderated by then that she doubted any of her data would matter. Sure, her friends could call her a turncoat for selling info in the first place, but out of all the little sins she had to make along the way, WatchNao was certainly the whitest lie. Her watch data contained nothing subversive, nothing telling—WatchNao didn’t even offer truly subversive items. Hell, maybe she’d even be the viewer whose stats brought Silver Folk back for a third season. They couldn’t call her a turncoat for that.
But regardless. It was the WatchNao data first. The snowball before the avalanche.
