WHAT THEY DID:

🩺 On October 1, 2021, Planned Parenthood partnered with Tumblr to rally supporters for abortion justice and defend access to abortions at 539 rallies in every state.

🩺 On September 3, 2021, Tumblr and Planned Parenthood partnered up in response to a Texas law that came into effect September 1, S.B. 8., effectively banning abortion in the state and asking private citizens to act as bounty hunters who “enforce” the law.

Pairing: loki x fem!reader

Warning: she/her pronouns used for reader, Loki being an idiot, Loki being protective, daggers, killing is mentioned, love (most dangerous warning of it all), anxiety

You watched as Loki flirted with that beautiful women that you envied with every inch of your body. She was so perfect it was no wonder she had grasped the attention of a god. You weren’t worthy of one. You weren’t worthy of him.

You felt a lump in your throat and forced your eyes to look away from the scene before you. Natasha waved and narrowed her eyebrows as if to ask what was wrong. You faked a smile and shook your head but you knew she was not convinced.

You tried to take a deep breath but failed. You were shaking. Was that normal? You weren’t even sure why you cared. If he was this careless then maybe you didn’t want to like him after all. Maybe you were being unreasonable. You technically weren’t a couple so you had no right to feel upset. You had thought you both were something - maybe not a couple - but something. You had thought wrong.

You accidentally caught sight of Loki pressing his lips onto her cheek and you felt as though something knocked the air out of your lungs. Everything suddenly felt like it was closing in on you.

No, you thought, I’m not this weak. I will go and ask Loki if he would like to do something together… Get a drink? Yes. And then I will talk to him and…something. I don’t know. I’ll try anyways.

You walked towards him and tapped lightly on his arm. Up close you really noticed how tall she was compared to you. He couldn’t even see you with his height, why would he notice you in that way? Loki tipped his head down and asked, “Yes?” in a cold tone.

”Hi…Uhm d-do you want to get a drink or something? I just want to talk to you…” you fiddled with your hair as you spoke, nervous. You didn’t make eye contact with him and looked at his chest instead.

The girl he was with snickered but covered it up with a cough as you got embarrassed. “Why would you want to talk? We barely know each other. And I’m with this rather beautiful lady right now.” You gulped, turning slightly red. “Uhm okay, I’m sorry. I hope you have a-a good night…” You were mumbling like an idiot. They could see the tears in your eyes. They found it amusing. Of course they would. You were pathetic. A nobody. How could you have ever thought…

You turned away and almost ran. You bumped into Thor as you were hurrying away and you heard Loki and that woman snorting with laughter. “Lady-” you didn’t hear what Thor was saying before you ran down the hallway, letting tears fall freely as you grasped the door knob and shoved the door open. You sat on your bed, curling up. You made pathetic little noises. Whimpering. Sniffing. You were disgusted with yourself. We barely know each other. Was that true? Maybe it was. Maybe you didn’t know him. Maybe he didn’t really know you. You didn’t even know what the two of you were. Maybe he thought you were acquaintances. Not even friends. Acquaintances.

Thor had bumped into something as he was walking and when he saw your small figure he was about to say something but he noticed your body language. Now, Thor was usually a brute and clumsy and oblivious when it came to most things, however when it came to you, he knew you very well. He loved the avenger he considered to be like a little sister to him. He knew you were upset about something and he was quite determined to find out what it was. He was very protective of you. “Lady-” you had already run off “Y/N!”

He looked around to find the cause of why you were acting this way. He saw his little brother flirting with some woman. He had to admit the woman was rather beautiful… He snapped out of it. He had something more important to do. As he got closer he read Loki’s expression and saw that he was pretending to be attracted to this woman. Thor felt odd when he thought through this situation. How upside down this all was. Flirting with random women was usually his job yet here he was watching his younger brother. “Loki!” his loud voice traveled to Loki’s ears. Loki eyes Thor up and down before muttering something to the woman on his arm. He walked over to Thor. “What?”

“What are you doing with this woman? I thought you loved Y/N?“ Thor asked.

“Well, you thought wrong, brother. I thought it would be a good idea to look at my options. This fair lady is quite…lovely.“

“I do not understand, brother. You seemed so in love with Y/N not long ago. What happened? You cannot possibly love this woman? I see the way you look at her. You do not like her. Why are you pretending?“

“Fine. I do find her sort of revolting. Our personalities do not appear to be compatible. Even so, there are plenty more women.“

Thor looked at him expectantly. Loki was not happy to have been caught avoiding talking about you. “Brother it is so obvious. Surely, even you can see it. You speak of the way I look at that woman and do not even consider the way Y/N looks at you.” 

Thor choked and spluttered, “What?”

“She loves you, brother,“ Loki told him, “Very much. I can tell. She looks at you as if you are the only one worth looking at. Her eyes are filled with wonder every time you enter the room. It’s fortunate that her kind, compassionate personality with be greatly compatible with yours and would make her the perfect candidate to be queen.“

“Brother you are mistaken! I do not love her! We-“

“You do not love her…?“ Loki’s expression darkened, Thor gulped and tried to speak again but Loki would not allow it. “You do not love her? You have led her into this knowing that she loves you? You- You did this to hurt her?“ Thor’s eyes widened as he saw the daggers in Loki’s hands. “No, you are mistaken, brother, I don’t think-“ Loki growled at him and Thor attempted to organise his thoughts. “No, Loki!” he walked backwards as Loki walked towards him with an intimidating glare, “She does not love me! Well I hope she does-” Loki narrowed his eyes at him “No I mean, she does not love me romantically! I love her platonically…or perhaps alterously but not romantically! I love her as though she is my sister…or something like that.” Thor smiled at him, a little panicked.

“She…does not love you?“ he asked, stopping still and making his daggers disappear. “No, brother,“ Thor told him, relieved that his brother was not going to kill him, “She loves you, I am sure of it.“

Loki glanced over to the hallway. “Oh.“

so the academy is reviewing whether or not to remove Will Smith’s award and here are some interesting tweets about that :)
