ngl i kinda feel like if dwalin hadn't interrupted his and thorin's acorn moment, bilbo would've confessed his love for thorin (see the image below;

and why yes it did cause for me to lose my shit. along with this gif as well because. hm;

so yeah.)

BECAUSE. right no. he starts off his sentence with 'i-' before dwalin cuts him off. not only that, bilbo appeared to be (quite possibly) the only one to at least ease thorin's dragon sickness symptoms; perhaps if their privacy hadn't been interrupted, bilbo would actually manage to free thorin from it either partially or completely.
