BECAUSE. right no. he starts off his sentence with 'i-' before dwalin cuts him off. not only that, bilbo appeared to be (quite possibly) the only one to at least ease thorin's dragon sickness symptoms; perhaps if their privacy hadn't been interrupted, bilbo would actually manage to free thorin from it either partially or completely.

Shoutout to all the Bagginshield fic writers who start writing from Thorin’s POV, not aiming for angst, but somehow end up writing angst all over again. You are not alone. Here have a kiss.
