Zhongli x [Reader] angst/no confort pt2

He remembers that sentence he once heard when he was still a mortal being, free from any curse the gods gave him and his people.

And how they tried to help Khaenri'ahns escape from the destruction the Seven caused. They said it was the least they could do for the refuge they asked during the Archon War.

"Is something troubling you Dain?"

"Forgive me, what is you were saying?"

He promised to himself that he would not forget about them.

Or their death on hands of the one they loved most.

"[Reader]. I hope... That one day I'll meet you again and apologize properly to you."

Explanation time! + facts:

Celestia was truly evil. That is why when he agreed on that contract with his old friend, the Tsaritsa. At least that way he felt that he could avenge his first and only love.

Celestia tricked the archons into a contract for power and they realized that after the fall of Khaenri'ah (also after [Reader]'s death).

During the archon war, [Reader] took refuge in Khaenri'ah.

[Reader] was aware of the corruption of Celestia.

[Reader] and Dainsleif were friends.

Morax fought [Reader] because they were helping Khaenri'ah, and it would break his contract with Celestia if he didn't stop them which in turn broke the contract between him and [Reader]. After he discovered the truth about Celestia he felt immense regret.

[Reader]'s death was accidental. Morax stabbed them too many times and died from blood loss.

Dainsleif never forgot the sacrifice [Reader] made for his nation. He has a necklace they gifted him on his birthday.

And yes, the abyss twin knows [Reader].

Finally. Some realistic headcanons 💀

Yandere kidnapper x cringe reader who reads THAT kind of fan-fiction - pt. 1

Tw: mdi, yanderish behaviour (kidnapping), mention of omegaverse Fanfictions, mention of NSFW acts, good ending (?)

✨Yandere kidnapper who at first kidnapped people for a ransom or to traffic them since he didn’t really have money

✨Yandere kidnapper who was actually planning on kidnapping your bestie to sell her to some of his clients, but, while stalking your friend to decide how and when kidnap her, sees you and his mind gies blank

✨what makes him lose his calm the most is your smile while you talk with your friend… You have such cute expressions and from now on he wants to be the cause of all your happiness

✨at first he just steals some of your clothes and uses them to please himself while thinking about your smile, but it’s not enough

✨So… He kidnaps you

✨When he brings you on the van you’re first surprised, then your mind decides to make you think about all the Fanfiction you’ve read (and written) and you start asking the guy questions in the most cringe, japanenglish tone

“Ara ara kidnapper-kun when are you taking someone as kaway UwU as me?”

✨the Yandere kidnapper needs to remind himself of your smile to NOT kick you out of the van

✨ He finally arrives to his house and brings you to his room bridal style, needles to say that you tell him in an even more cringy tone

“Oh my, kidnapper-kun, are you taking me to your room to sell me to the alpha mafia boss lead of a boyband to pay off my father’s debts?”

✨the (poor) Yandere kidnapper just looks at you with a puzzled expression, sighs, puts you on the bed and goes out of the room to smoke a cigarette and ask himself wtf you meant with alpha mafia boss lead of a boyband

✨so he searches it on the internet… and gets to read the most traumatic smutty omegaverse x omega reader Fanfiction that has ever existed

✨Yandere kidnapper who now looks at you like the degenerate you are, but still likes you… somehow

✨But after three months of living together he can’t stand you anymore

✨You’re the epitome of the worst roommate. You eat food and don’t clean you plate, you don’t flush the toilet, you never clean, in the bed you always take all the blanket for yourself, you verbally assault him, but when he makes you notice things you tell him to stop being the victim, you always talk about Fanfictions and force him to read the worst works that have ever seen the light of day… he still likes you, but he’d prefer if you two never saw each other again, he has abandoned his obsession to make you his and just wants you to leave him alone

He is silly 😭

I wonder how Zhongli would feel if he came home one night, to find his lover surrounded by plushies of him (as an archon, dragon, and his current form) and cuddling a giant Rex Lapis exuvia plush?

Sure, he finds her skill at textile design impressive but he can't help but feel a bit jealous that a creation of fabric and cotton stole his beloved.

Jealous (and possibly pouty) Li is everything to me ;u; so here you go! Enjoy~

The first time you showed Zhongli a plushie you'd made of him in his miniature dragon form, words couldn't describe how touched and flattered he was that his beloved could find pleasure in creating plushies in his image. The fact that you loved him so much amplified his own love for you tenfold, and he couldn't ask for a better partner.

But then, the plushies started piling up. Big and small, fluffy and smooth, person and dragon. Zhongli didn't want to discourage you from making use of your exceptional crafting skills, especially seeing how happy you were, but once the plushies started taking up his side of the bed, he couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy - something he wasn't accustomed to. Especially when it appeared that he was stealing you from himself in a way..?

It all comes to a head when he returns home after a week-long consultation overseas, wanting nothing more than to hold and be held by you. "Darling, I'm home."

No response. Well, that's all right, he thinks, as it's quite late and he wouldn't be surprised if you'd already fallen asleep. Zhongli pictures you nodding off while trying to stay up waiting for your husband, and a tender smile tugs at his lips.

But when he gets to the bedroom, a different scene awaits entirely.

There's the usual mountain of Zhongli-themed plushies around you, but it's...a lot bigger than he'd remembered. And in the middle of it all, you're wide awake and rolling about with a giant plushie of his dragon-Qilin form, about as tall as Zhongli himself is. Your eyes are closed and you're humming, petting the plushie as you do.

At first he's a mix of awestruck and besotted by the scene, but those feelings are swiftly overtaken by envy. Huffing softly, he decides to take matters into his own hands.

...You're minding your own business, stroking your soft Rex Lapis in utter contentment when suddenly the soft fuzzy cotton seems to morph into a smoother, scalier texture.

"Oh!" You open your eyes, seeing a more reptilian version of your creation staring back at you expectantly like a dog. Grinning, you cuddle him. "Wow, I really outdid myself with how realistic this one is!"

He lets out an audible huff now, and you laugh.

Your dragon husband curls up around you, fiery eyes transfixed upon you alone. "Pay attention to me," he murmurs, and there's a hint of a whine in his deep voice, "and me alone." He uses his tail to knock his cotton imposter off the bed.

But you're still being cheeky. "Well, technically these are all you," you say, holding up a little plushie of Zhongli wearing his white archon hood, but your husband only growls at it, which makes you giggle. You stroke his sorry, scaley ol' head. "You're so silly, Li."

"I am not silly," he answers earnestly, nuzzling his snout against your skin. Ah, how he missed your scent. Gently, he uses his clawed hands to keep your upper half in place while his tail coils around your lower half. Finally content, he closes his eyes and purrs.

You roll your eyes, smiling. "You're going to keep me like this?"

"Yes. You are to stay like this with me all night, my darling. Please do not object."

And you willingly give in, letting your lizard lover keep you in his hold like this until the sun rises again.
