🍰: I think the funniest thing I've seen as a magi was when I fought a witch with a team, there were holes on the ground, and some of them kept falling in, and it turned out that was the correct way to the witch??

Day 37 <3

🎀✨Day 37: Lots of things having to do with soul gems makes me feel physically empty, sometimes in a good way, sometimes in a bad way. When I contracted and wasn't used to my soul being outside my body, I felt dizzy and empty, and then when I purified my soul gem, it made me feel empty in a good way, like I got rid of clutter in myself. ⏱💣I should really fight the witches and familiars I find. I kept putting it off because I was worried I couldn't astral project, but you don't need to. I should just bilocate since that's a lot easier for me to not get lost. 💐☕There are worse villains than witches, and they keep trying to sabotage everyone. I wish I could fight them, but I'm supposed to trust others to fight them in a better way. 🎧🌊I think of being a magical hero like being an exorcist. The witches are basically souls that need to be put to rest, so fighting them helps them as well. Sometimes I see people saying they feel like fighting witches is like fighting anyone else and you shouldn't do it, but there's no cure for them, so it's better this way. 🍎📿You guys would never think I'm evil, right? Can I still be a cute magical girl, no matter what happens?

Let's just say there were a few things I had to learn when I first became a magical girl ahaha! It was a rough start, but I've been learning how to manage everything and stay well. I actually agree with Kyubey and his quest to help the universe, but I also know he leaves information out whenever possible, so I mostly use my own and other magis experience to learn how it all works.

Everything I know about witches

What are witches?

Witches are the manifestation of despair. They are the main thing puella magis fight. They hide in labyrinths and can be dangerous if left unchecked. They often have familiars to help them spread curses and to protect themselves.

Why we fight witches

We fight witches because they are dangerous. If left unattended, they can hurt people. The severity depends, but they typically hurt a persons mental health or control them with a witch's Kiss to bring them closer to their labyrinth. The other reason we fight them is to obtain grief seeds. A puella magi's soul gem gets corrupted over time or by using magic, so we need to use grief seeds to cleanse them to stay healthy, happy, and magical.

How are witches created?

Witches can be created by negative energy, a corrupted grief seed, a corrupted soul gem, or familiars. Negative energy is the most common source of a witch. I do not know much about this, but you can imagine it as a corruption happening outside a grief seed or vessel. Corrupted grief seeds can hatch witches. It's something you don't think about, but it does happen. If a grief seed absorbs too much despair, it can become corrupted just like a soul gem. That's why it's important to give all full grief seeds to an incubator. The last way, a corrupted soul gem hatching a witch, is the way most people are aware of. If a puella magi does not clean their soul gem, and it corrupts from negative emotions or use of magic, it can hatch into a witch. It is very important to use grief seeds or doppels for that reason. Familiars can become witches if they stray from the labyrinth and eat humans on their own. They need to get a certain amount of negative energy to be able to become a witch, and then they will become like any other witch, with their own labyrinth and everything. That is why some magis fight familiars despite their lack of grief seeds.

A witch's Kiss/sigils

Most commonly known as a witch's Kiss, and by some magis as sigils, these are the symbols witches have that lets us track them down from far away. They will sometimes appear on the witch's victims to lure them to their labyrinth or corrupt their mind. You can also find the sigil at the entrance of the labyrinth and write it down to find the witch again. Astral magis use that as a way to find witches in the astral realm.

🎀✨Day 40: It's my birthday today! It's also Madoka Kaname's birthday! I'm 17 now. It feels like just yesterday I was 15. Or 14 or 12. Actually, it's a little hard to remember my age ahaha! ⏱💣I have so many unfinished guides in my drafts! I really have to finish those! There are currently around 10. 💐☕Speaking of finishing things, I really need to clean some things up on this blog. Or at least make sure links are all updated. 🎧🌊I'm planning on participating in Mahoutober, but I am a bit late, and I take a bit to finish drawings, so I might be late on every prompt, but I will try to do them all, even if it extends into November! 🍎📿I love writing stories so much. Maybe someday I will write a story from the perspective of a magical girl. It might make it easier to understand what it's like to be one, since I doubt I'm very descriptive on this blog.
