CUTE THINGS THEY DO

HEESEUNG. is very cuddly when he’s sleepy. when he wakes up in the morning it takes him a while before he’s fully awake and conscious. he’ll snuggle up to you with a puffy face and messy bed hair, but it’s very endearing to see him that way. 

JAY. always fixes your hair. if the wind messed it up a bit and there’s stray strands here and there you can always count on him to fix them. always holds your hair back when you need it. if you’re going to eat something and don’t have a hair tie he makes sure your hair won’t get in the way. 

JAKE. whenever he’s too busy to see you he keeps you updates throughout the day with texts and short video calls if he can. he also likes to send you some pictures, but gets flustered when you respond back with compliments. 

SUNGHOON. has a hidden side where he’s a complete goof. he likes to hide behind things and wait for the right moment when you turn the corner and then jumps out to scare you. he also likes to tell corny jokes that are only funny cause they’re horrible.

「 confession 」

“i’m hungryyyy,” you whine, wrapping both of your hands around soobin’s arm and tugging gently to make him go faster. “let’s go!!”

“i’m going, i’m going,” soobin held back a laugh, stumbling as he tried to keep up with you.

as soon as you were through the door, you headed straight for the frozen aisle where they kept the fish ice cream you liked. soobin was a little more reasonable, grabbing ramen containers as you pulled him through the store.

“okay, let’s go home!!” you turned around as soon as you got what you wanted, expecting to bump into your friend, but he wasn’t behind you like you thought he was. you weren’t scared at first; the store wasn’t that big and you were sure that he was only a few steps behind you.

a prickle of fear trickled down your spine as you realized soobin wasn’t coming. you stepped out of the frozen aisle, ice cream in hand, and started looking around.

“soobin?” you called uncertainly. you didn’t know your way around seoul very well (and directions weren’t really your thing anyway), which meant you were effectively stranded unless you had soobin to show you the way home. “soobinnie, where are you?”

at this point panic was starting to set in and you could feel yourself starting to tear up, when you spotted soobin near the cash register. a wave of relief crashed through your body, your knees almost collapsing on you as you ran over and crushed the tall boy in a hug.

“there you are! did you find your ice cr—oof,” soobin grunted with the force of your hug. noticing your teary eyes, he pulled back a little bit to cup your face. “hey, what happened? why are you crying?”

“i thought i lost you for a second,” you admitted, biting your lip. you felt a little embarrassed for overreacting, but the city was so big it scared you sometimes.

“aw, you’re such a baby,” soobin teased you. “don’t be scared. i’m right here.”

“i know,” you smile, wiping your face with the back of your hand. “i’m sorry you’re always taking care of me.”

“i don’t mind,” soobin ruffled your hair. “i really like you, y/n. i like taking care of you.”

“soobin! you can’t just say things like that,” you complain, hiding your face in his shoulder. your cheeks felt a million degrees, but somehow you found the courage to look up at your favorite boy. “i like you, too.”

「 a breakfast date 」

the sun had only crept across half of your bedroom floor when the sound of your phone ringing jerked you awake.

tossing your arm over the side of your bed, your fingers fumbled through your jeans, tossed carelessly on the floor the night before, until you found your buzzing phone. you peeled your eyes open just a crack to read the caller id (“soobin💘”) before pressing “answer” and flopping onto your back and lifting your phone to your ear.

“morning sunshine! i’m coming over to take you to breakfast. be ready in twenty.”

knowing you would argue with him, he had already ended the call before you could manage to get a word in.

groaning, you pulled yourself up into a sitting position and stretched. twenty minutes would be a stretch, but you know soobin rarely expected you to adhere to his schedules.

to your credit, you managed to be almost ready by the time soobin arrived. hearing the doorbell, you shrugged on a sweater and shuffled across your apartment to answer the door.

“good morning, love,” soobin was all smiles, pressing kisses to your cheeks and stepping around you to greet your puppy, who was currently running in circles behind you. “and good morning, moo.”

moo was a rescue, covered in black and white splotches (like a cow). it had taken you less than a minute to fall in love with her.

soobin crouched of her, scratching behind her ears the way she liked, but he spoke to you. “you ready to go?”

“yep, just gotta brush my teeth,” you say over your shoulder, already on the way to your bathroom.

ten minutes later and you were finally out the door, moo at your side.

“where are we going?” you ask, reaching over for soobin’s hand.

“we’re getting waffles!” he smiled. “there’s a new place that opened up and it allows dogs.”

“that’s perfect for us, huh, moo?” you look down at moo, who is sniffing at a plant growing in a crack in the sidewalk. your puppy barks at the sound of her name, making soobin laugh.

the café is probably the cutest thing you’ve ever seen, with plants hanging from the ceiling and a mural on one wall of a whole litter of puppies rolling in the grass. you and soobin sit at a table outside, where moo gets to play with another small dog, a maltese, and a very gentle chocolate lab called anzu.

on top of that, the food is amazing. you get blueberry waffles and soobin lets you steal the raspberries out of his side of fruit.

“thank you for waking me up,” you say, kissing the corner of soobin’s lips. “this was worth it.”

「 skinship 」

it had been almost three weeks since the last time you say your boyfriend in person and you felt like you were going to die from missing him.

even moo could tell that something was off. she kept bringing you leaves or flowers that she found on the pavement outside as little gifts, and while those cheered you up for a little while, you wanted soobin.

finally, one afternoon you were laying on your sofa, giving moo belly rubs and watching family guy when your phone buzzed with a text message.

from soobin: hi baby are you busy right now? can i come over?

you let out a little squeak of happiness before tapping out your response.

to soobin: please come over! i miss you sm

in reality, it probably took him less than ten minutes to text you that he was here, but to you it felt like hours.

before he could even make it to the front door, you had already opened it and were running into his arms. it felt so good to touch him and to hear his voice, in person not through the phone.

“i missed you so much,” he confessed, squeezing you back just as hard. “let’s never be apart that long again.”

「 headcanons 」

okay i know that these boyfriend posts have literally never been consistent (like ever) and i’ve decided i’m just going to go with the flow and write what i want because they’re my posts and i just want to vent about how cute beomgyu is so that’s what i’m doing.

we have to talk about playing with his hair. like it’s a must. he’s definitely the guy who, whenever he comes over, he just flops onto your bed like he belongs there and then he tugs you on top of him for cuddles. bonus points if you reach up and run your hands through his hair until he falls asleep.

beomgyu also really likes holding hands with you. he holds your hands the most when you’re upset or anxious, and he does that thing with his thumbs where he moves them back and forth over the back of your hand to comfort you.

i feel like beomgyu is definitely the type of boyfriend to make fun of you all the time, but it never comes from a malicious place. he just really adores you and think you have the most adorable face when you’re angry or embarrassed. he’s always squishing your cheeks!

he definitely takes you to get boba all the time. he knows your order by heart.

you’re not super close with the boys, but they definitely hear about you all the time. beomgyu is always gushing about you, no matter how often the other members make fun of him (lovingly of course) for it.

little princess — usually sarcastic, but it always makes you blush and that’s why he likes it so much

sunshine — also sarcastic sometimes, usually used for good morning texts or greeting you when you see each other in person

cutie — most commonly used, always genuine because he always thinks you look so cute

sweet pea — used whenever you’re feeling upset in any way (mostly when you’re sad)

「 favorite date 」

some people might think it’s boring, but one of your and beomgyu’s favorite things is staying in and having movie nights. they’re the perfect remedy for a stressful day, with lots of soft blankets and throw pillows arranged in a pile in your living room. you light your favorite scented candles (vanilla and coffee) while beomgyu brings the snacks (usually fresh strawberries and soft pretzels). regardless of how either of you are feeling, you always end up so much more relaxed by the end of the movie.

sometimes you have dinner together like that (usually take out, but sometimes you cook together) or you put on face masks and beomgyu braids your hair for you. he’s gotten pretty good at it since you taught him how. one of gyu’s favorite things is when you fall asleep on his shoulder. he loves everything about your movie nights, but his favorite part is carrying you to bed to cuddle after the movie ends.
