Sex (putting your penis inside of someone) isn't real. It was invented to sell 80s porn vhs tapes. Before that people made love the way nature intended (by suffocating eachother with plastic bags).

Harrowing: someone in your Fandom just made an innocuous and harmless post that nonetheless betrays a deep misunderstanding of the character and the character's narrative purpose and you just have to sit there and let them be wrong lest you be an asshole
why do i have to go to school i should be back at the first mountain goats concert i saw last year (i need to see jenny from thebes live again because of the mental illness)

"It’s about breaking out of whatever prison you’ve allowed yourself to live in, whether you built that prison for yourself or whether it was built around you and you just accepted it. The message in the whole record is just: Fetch the fucking bolt cutters and get yourself out of the situation that you’re in — whatever it is that you don’t like."
"Fetch the Bolt Cutters," Fiona Apple + Isaac Lahey & Derek Hale, Teen Wolf (2011)
edit: i can't fucking believe i have to say this but if you rb this and tag it as a ship thing i hope you choke
yk what no one tells you about finally getting out of the house you spent over a decade convinced you were gonna die in, the house that you tried to kill yourself in, the house where you were forced to realize that the people who were supposed to love you unconditionally because you share fucking dna just couldn't, that house, when you get out of that house it doesn't feel real. you're sitting next to the open window of your bedroom in your apartment 100+ miles away from the hometown you really truly believed you would be stuck in forever and none of it feels like it's actually happening because you've been planning how you would run away since you were like 13 and even if this isn't exactly where 13 year old you thought you'd be 6 years later you still aren't in that house anymore and that's the part that matters because you never thought you would actually accomplish even that. after probably 14 years of being afraid, and only really understanding that fear for the latter half of it, you finally don't have a reason to be afraid anymore. you're in a place where you don't have to wait for the sun to set to feed yourself, you don't have to worry about knocking over beer cans or about cockroaches and mice crawling out of your kitchen cabinets, there's not years worth of smoke caked onto every surface, you don't have to clean up the messes of two people who were supposed to be your caregivers. you're alone, and it's clean, and you can breathe. you made it out alive and you can't believe that because you don't just get lucky like that but here you are. you never have to tell yourself "just 'x' many more years/months/days" again because you made it there, finally.
'guy who doesn't really understand how gentrification works and thinks that improving the quality of life in a neighborhood is itself bad' is approxmately the level of political understanding a good 50% of tumblr is operating off of
