I'm not sure if I can trust Via when she's so nice and sweet, if she was a good person I'm thinking she'd feel a lot more horrible, like Okira. I know it's extremely necessary for her to do it to survive and escape her painful fate, but she can't have that light of a conscience, can she?

Nope, not canon. None of the Egg Eaters have offspring lore wise, not even the oldest (Rannoch). I just like to use them sometimes in gameplay

Obsidian won’t eat the eggs of his fellow clan members, but he has stolen eggs from other clans. He’s lucky his clan hasn’t found out about the egg eating yet.
